In our latest Prep Hoops rankings, Dailey comes in as the 25th overall ranked player in the nation.
Dailey has not taken any official visits, but he intends to once the recruiting period begins this month. The 6-7, 215-pound forward is a three-time gold medalist while playing for Team USA U18 team. Dailey was an original Class of 2022 prospect, but he decided to reclassify to 2023 last spring. “I also have not ruled out any possibilities of going pro” Dailey said. There is no set commitment date for Dailey’s decision, but he is expected to play for one of the eight schools on his target list once he commits.
Last season for the Ascenders, Dailey averaged 13 points and 7.3 rebounds per game helping lead them to a 21-5 record. Dailey was also apart of the Team USA U18 3v3 World Cup team that consisted of Purdue commit Myles Colvin and St. John’s commit Brandon Gardner Brandon Gardner 6'7" | PF Christ The King | 2023 #112 Nation NY .
Dailey can be very explosive on the dribble, whether he can knock down the open three or pull up from mid-range. Dailey also is a solid rebounder and control the game whether the ball is in his hands or getting his teammates involved.
Dailey’s father Eric Sr. played professional basketball in Europe, Africa and South America for over 10 years after playing his college days at Western Carolina and TCU from 1990 to 1993.
Dailey’s mother Shell also played professionally for over 20 years, including coaching the WNBA’s San Antonio Silver Stars and TCU. Shell is currently the head coach of the IMG Academy girls national team.
