The Huntsville squad is loaded with talent and is a favorite to bring home the state championship. The 6'8, who tells me he is fully 6'9, is a match-up nightmare for most PF/C players. He has had an impressive off-season and has been showing his middle game, his game off the bounce, and his low-post game. A lot of eyes are on Izzy headed into his senior year, and the question is, can he, along with his backcourt partner [player_tooltip player_id='833333' first='RJ' last='Johnson'], lead Grissom to a state championship this year? With RJ on the verge of committing and Izzy still working his way thru the recruiting process, Grissom is poised to make a run out of the north to Birmingham. In order to accomplish that goal, Izzy will have to be the player that he can be at the lead guard spot, carry the facilitating role, and take pressure off of RJ in that area. There is no doubt that Izzy will be able to, at times, lead Grissom in scoring as well as do enough in the scoring column to compliment RJ. He is undoubtedly the alpha male and leader of the Huntsville squad, and their championship aspirations rise and fall with Man-Man. He is a gifted guard that is in complete control on the offensive end of the floor and can orchestrate and fill it up when needed. If there is any question about his game, it is on the defensive end of the floor and his willingness to defend opponents' elite guards. There will be plenty of opportunities this upcoming season to step up and be just as great on the defensive end of the floor as he is on the offensive end. As I have done with all these players, I have put ink on them numerous times, so we all are aware of the scoring prowess that is a part of RJ's game. The question that will hang over Caleb's head throughout his next 4 years is will he be able to lead Buckhorn to a state championship title.
