Joey Kennedy Joey Kennedy 6'6" | PF University | 2023 State CA-N 6’6 PF of University HS
Kennedy a high IQ prospect is one of the better passing forwards in NorCal. He has a good set of fundamental skills. He’s been a productive player in the post using good footwork, patience, and touch to score, he has a solid body to defend. He’s an excellent high post player with the triple threat, he scores, passes, and attacks. He has a consistent mid-range jumper and can step out to hit the 3ptr.
Derek Lamb Derek Lamb 6'6" | PF Whitney | 2023 State CA-N 6’7 PF/C of Oakmont HS
A square shoulder big who’s filled his frame a bit making him a more effective player in the post area. He has decent foot-work, moves well, and has been a productive player this spring and summer. He has some post presence, and awareness being a good jumper and going after blocks, and rebounds. He has an improving short jumper in the paint, and he’s an excellent court runner.
Christian Wise Christian Wise 6'6" | PF Archbishop Riordan | 2023 State CA-N 6’6 PF of Archbishop Riordan HS
Wise is a muscular prospect with a solid build who seems like he’s still learning some parts of the game, nevertheless he has a good upside. At 6’6 he has the strength and bounce to be a top rebounder, and hard to guard in the post area. He plays well off two feet in the paint, using power moves and a little fade-away paint jumper to produce. He could be a double, double prospect at this level.
Mwandishi Adams Mwandishi Adams 6'5" | PF Edison Stockton | 2023 State CA-N 6’5 PF of Edison HS, Stockton
A solid body forward who’s still learning the game in someways. He has the power, and strength to be an effective player on both ends in the post area. He attacks well from the baseline, he can finish with power dunks on occasion, and takes it hard to the rim on most of the time. He has a short jumper, and a decent touch off the back board. He’ll get rebounds.
Prince Oseya Prince Oseya 6'10" | C Modesto Christian | 2023 State CA-N 6’10 Center of Modesto Christian HS
He’ll anchor the middle for NorCal’s top team, yeah I know it’s early, but they are. While he still has some learning to do, he’s progressing upward. He’s aware of what his 6’10 frame brings to this team. His post presence, rim protection, changing and blocking shots, defending bigs in the post, getting rebounds and more rebounds for put-back points.
John Squire John Squire 6'7" | C St. Ignatius | 2023 State CA-N 6’7 PF/C of Saint Ignatius Prep HS
Squire has improved steadily to make himself a player that can work inside and out of the post area. He’s one of NorCal’s top rebounding prospects hauling in 22 in a game while we were there. He has good footwork, and scores often in the paint, he draws double teams on the low block. He’s made steady improvements on his perimeter game, shooting 3’s, ball handling and his overall movements away from the basket.
Jake Davis Jake Davis 6'2" | SG Las Lomas | 2023 State CA-N 6’9 Center of Acalanes HS
Davis a high IQ prospect with a good set of fundamental skills and understanding of what he brings to the court. He gained valuable experienced, and playing time at the highest levels. He was a productive player coming off the bench for WCE NorCal UAA. A team that played in the UAA Championship this past summer. A big body, he works hard to defend his position and rebound. He’s an excellent passer, good on the screen and role, and is a big target in the post.
Austin Dewes Austin Dewes 6'9" | C Alhambra | 2023 State CA-N 6’9 Center of Alhambra HS
The 6’9 center could develop into a quality stretch four over time, we’ll see. He’s made good progress in the spring and summer getting stronger, and being a more physical player while in the post area. His rebounding numbers should increase this fall, along with his point production in the paint. He’s actually a player that can play on the perimeter. We’ve seen him hit 3pt shots, and handle a bit with good passing along the perimeter. He can stick the corner 3.
