After a quiet three quarters, Martinez was the closer for the Ruf-Nex squad. Caught fire with four three pointers, including a 25+ dagger that finally gave Crooked Oak separation in the fourth quarter of a tough Class 3A battle. He’s an ideal fit as a sharpshooter for a squad with athletic guards who live to attack the rim. And the clutch shots he hit on Wednesday should bode very well for Martinez and company. Especially as they look to match and improve on last year’s Class 3A semifinals appearance.
