As grassroot season has concluded we now head into a little dead period for HS hoops. Over the next couple of weeks we will be doing some stock risers from each class. Here is a list of 2023 stock risers at the forward/center positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='1023546' first='Bangot' last='Dak'] | 6'9 F | Lincoln Southeast

Dak might have been the one of the biggest stock risers from his class this past summer. 6'9 forward with solid handle and great footwork. Plays anywhere from the 3 to the 5. Can shoot it from deep but his all around ability to create scoring opportunities from all areas on the court is what most impresses me about his play. Definitely a player that will be on college coaches radars during his senior campaign.

[player_tooltip player_id='1141533' first='Paxon' last='Piatkowski'] | 6'5 F | Millard North

Piatkowski is a big transfer pickup for the Mustangs. 6'5 with some length and the ability to stretch the floor from the 3 or 4 position. Will be a big time pick and pop threat. Defensively played great help side defense. Was able to help and recover well and was always aware of where he his man was, getting hands in passing lanes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1017542' first='Mitch' last='Scholl'] | 6'6 F | Skutt Catholic

Scholl played more of a stretch 4 spot this summer as his ability to shoot it stands out. Real smooth jumper from beyond keeps defenses honest. Runs well in transition and fill lanes, that lead to some easy layups on the break. Didn't play a whole lot down low when I had watched him play but him bringing a 4 or 5 out of the paint opens up a lot more opportunities for guard drives or drive and kick out threes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1371636' first='Malachi' last='Washington'] | 6'6 F | Boys Town

Washington is an uber athletic big for the Cowboys who played on the Adidas 3SSB circuit this summer. Very strong down low with his finishes, not afraid to get into you. Bouncy rebounder and will rise up to throw down some loud dunks. Tenacious rebounder as well. Did show ability to knock down the deep ball from time to time.

[player_tooltip player_id='1236328' first='Eli' last='Robinson'] | 6'5 F | Bellevue East (pictured)

One thing you can really appreciate about Robinsons game is his ability to create scoring opportunities off ball. Lots of back door cuts or slips to the basket. Moves very well off ball. When it comes to rebounding he's a work horse for boards. Threw down some hammers this past summer with some off ball movement and he is a threat to stretch the floor as well. Will have a big time roll for the Chieftains this upcoming winter.
