Hidden Gems 2023 Rankings

There are kids from Utah that play at the next level that are not highly ranked ever year. Tyrese has speed and a change of pace as he can really keep defenders off balance trying to keep up with him on speed dribbles. He actually has a good controlled handle to go along with that speed. Gets in the lane and he finishes well. Defensively he causes issues as he has a high motor and defensive intensity. Plays good defense on the ball and he helps his teammates well taking away angles and contesting shots. He is fundamentally sound boxing out and tracking down boards, he has strength and on the break he is strong going left and right. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"backgroundColor":"primary","fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-primary-background-color has-background has-medium-font-size"><strong>#64 PHU || 6'4 [player_tooltip player_id='1206853' first='Griffyn' last='Doughty'] || Weber High School || 2023 ||</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>If you have seen this kid play you will notice that he has all the tools, skills and physical attributes to play at a high level. When he gets looks he can really shoot the ball. He has a good high release and he moves well finding openings. He really benifits from playing with play making guards that can find him in a spot up position because he knocks those down at a high percentage. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"backgroundColor":"primary","fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-primary-background-color has-background has-medium-font-size"><strong>#68 PHU || 6'9 C [player_tooltip player_id='969251' first='Colby' last='Dean'] || Pleasant Grove High School || 2023 ||</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Colby is an underrated big that continues to get better and develop. He still has some room to develop and get better in various aspects of his game but as of right now he has some good skills that his high school and club teams have been able to compliment his game with. He is a good rebounder and he has some good touch around the rim. Nice shot that can continue to develop. Off the ball he needs to work on his speed but this kid can really shoot the ball and he has range.
