Lindenwood Elite Camp New Names

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Hoops Missouri spent its Monday night in St. Charles to watch the action at the Lindenwood University Elite Camp, which was presented by Gerdeman Camps. The event had a great turnout with nearly 100 kids in attendance. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With the large numbers of players in the house, we were able to watch each one in a 12-minute scrimmage. Our evals are based on what we saw in those scrimmages alone. Here is a look at some of the New Names that we came across at the camp who caught our eye.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Elijah Leech (St. Charles): A 6'1" 2023 guard who was a bundle of energy with his consistent motor at both ends of the floor. He attacked the basket relentlessly with strength and authority and finished well in the lane. Despite being a guard, he was strong on the boards and he used his physicality to post up smaller guards and get buckets.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cooper Williams (Lafayette): A 6'1" 2023 guard who was impressive on the defensive end in the game that I watched him. What I liked about him was that he took on the challenge to guard some very good offensive players and he met it head on. He got some strips, deflections and even blocked a jump shot. I made it a point go commend him on his defensive effort at the camp.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Calvin Ross (CBC): A 6'1" 2023 guard who was also a tenacious defensive player with his speed and aggressiveness. He moves his feet and he has quick hands to hawk the ball. He likes to push the tempo and he was most effective on offense in the transition game. He was also an unselfish passer as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>John Renken (Lafayette): A 6'4" 2024 forward who is very mobile and agile. He was able to impact play at both ends of the court. He ran the court hard in transition and was able to get buckets on the break. He works the baseline well on the drive and was getting offensive rebounds on the weak side.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Daniel Jewell (Orchard Farm): A 5'7" 2025 point guard who has good quickness and was able to touch the paint off of dribble penetration. When he got inside, he was very effective off of two feet as he had some nifty moves with spins and shot fakes to free himself against the bigs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
