Summer Stock Rising PG’s 2023

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This summer was the time to really sharpen up the skills as the season is just 3 months away from restarting. There will be new names that emerge as many players move in and many players simply start to see the floor at their respective high school but these names you see under are players that have been stock rising this summer either in the ranking locally or in the eyes of college coaches looking to find prospects for the Class of 2023. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>5'10 PG [player_tooltip player_id='1402371' first='Tyrese' last='Lacey'] || Layton Christian Academy || 2023 ||</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tyrese can be classified as a PG that can pick you up full-court and make you work. Excited to see what he does this season because he should be playing a tougher schedule and LCA usually does a good job scheduling out of state competition, but in state he could be a player that will make that shot clock go down quickly with his defensive on ball presence. Tyrese can really create on offense and he is a draw two and make the right choice type of player. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>6'0 PG [player_tooltip player_id='934030' first='Quentin' last='Meza'] || Cyprus High School || 2023 ||</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Quentin has proven everyone that has doubted him wrong as his size isn't an issue because he can score against the best defenders on the country either breaking them down off the bounce or simply creating enough space to shoot from distance, he has a lot of tools in the bag as he can go fast and stop on a dime and hit those mid-range jumpers. Defensively many questioned who and how he can defend, well he can defend his tail off and he rebounds very well for a PG as well. A few D1's are all over him. Quentin has a shot to really leave his mark at the state level with all of his scoring and stats this coming high school season. stay tuned because Quentin looks hungry. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>6'2 PG [player_tooltip player_id='969631' first='Jaxon' last='Roberts'] || Corner Canyon High School || 2023 ||</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Look out as Jaxon has really made a big leap this summer as he is defending at a high level and he has good positional size and shake and bake ability. He has a few pieces coming back with him this next high school season and he can really be a player that flirts with triple-doubles all year because he rebounds well, he sees the floor well and he can score. Nice small school prospect and even a NJCAA type of player that can continue to work on his game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>6'1 PG [player_tooltip player_id='1207014' first='Max' last='Russo'] || Cottonwood High School || 2023 ||</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Not a common name you hear but you need to keep an eye out for what is building over at Cottonwood and Max is a PG that could really make an impact because the kid can really shoot the ball. Max when he gets the offense going he can really turn into an off the ball threat with that shooting ability. Teams looking for a PG that can shoot the ball max is a good player to look at. Max is a small school prospects. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>6'1 PG [player_tooltip player_id='969245' first='Jaxon' last='Smith'] || Woods Cross High School || 2023 ||</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the biggest stock risers in the class as Jaxon has really transformed his game from a player that can shoot the ball to a player that can really run a team as a quality PG that can get it done. Jaxon has improved his passing and IQ through a lot of playing and training. Jaxon has been putting in work with his handle and creating ability. He is really at his best when he catches and shoots and keeps it simple. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
