Altman just does absolutely everything on the basketball court. Literally. Score, pass, defend, rebound, hustle, and anything else you can think of. He was extra aggressive getting to the paint and finishing, as well as looking for his mid-range jumper and floaters from a little farther out against Millbrook. I especially loved how he used his body against smaller players in the post to get to his spots and rise up for easy shots. Defensively, Altman was a menace in the passing lanes and completely shut down Zoumana Traore. He does all of the little things and is going to be quite a pleasant surprise for his coaches at Penn next year. He’s just a winner.

Altman is like an energizer bunny. He didn’t sit for the entire game and still looked like the hardest-playing player on a number of possessions. He attacks both the offensive and defensive glasses with so much ferocity and is a rebound MACHINE. He has great timing and toughness and always boxes out. Offensively, Altman does a little bit of everything; he can create offense for himself and handles on-ball pressure very well. He can also shoot it from the mid-range and three and is a good cutter and ball mover. He feels like the glue for this team.

Altman was a complete force on the offensive glass all game for Rivers. Against RL’s 2-3 zone, he did a great job finding gaps in the defense and being quicker to rebounds; he isn’t a crazy vertical athlete, but he has a great second jump and some really excellent timing, both of which allow him to be an exceptional rebounder for his size. The 6-foot-6 wing can also finish well, shoot it from everywhere on the court, and is a really cerebral passer. Very impressed with Altman’s do-it-all game, and I think he could have a really nice career at Penn. Also super fun to watch his chemistry with Alekseyenko.

Altman is a swingman who has always had a knack to score from behind the arc. He is very efficient with his game and knows a good shot from a bad shot. Altman is a sneaky athletic and can play above the rim. He made an early commitment to Penn in June. His ability to make shots should translate well to the Ivy League.

Altman came off the board when he announced that he will attend the University of Pennsylvania. One of New England’s top perimeter scorers, Altman has been terrific at Rivers over the last two seasons. He’s a big guard that can operate on or off the ball, scores at all three levels, and makes quality decisions in the half-court. He’s competitive, tough, and has some nice athletic pop. He’s as complete of an offensive prospect as there is in New England’s class of 2025. Defensively, he has the strength to guard up a position and does a great job on the defensive glass. He’s done a lot of winning the last few years and should only continue to do so this winter. He’s a terrific recruit for Penn and ultimately, could develop into one of the top scorers in the Ivy League.

is a dynamic offensive weapon with lots of scoring talent. He can create off-the-bounce, stopping on a dime and shooting off one leg or shooting turnarounds in the mid-range. Altman has a quick trigger and loves to pull up from three and launch deep from behind the arch. He is also an effective shooter and floor spacer off the ball and a terrific cutter to the rim, easily finishing with dunks or layups. Defensively, Altman can play the passing lanes well and intercept passes for turnovers and easy finishes on the other end. His passing flashes as a secondary playmaker are also very intriguing, as he makes snappy decisions with the ball. Altman’s offensive juice is real and any program looking for a boost in that area should be heavily interested.

Previous Rank: 31 (+18)rnAltman has followed up a strong AAU season with a terrific start to the high school season. He’s taking his game to the next level by proving to be a three level scorer that can get it done both in transition and in the half-court. He shoots the cover off the ball from deep; but has really come a long way with his playmaking skills off the bounce. Defensively, he uses his length and athleticism to be disruptive in passing lanes and proven to be a strong rebounder from the guard position. He should be a priority for high academic schools and has the potential to garner mid-major interest with another strong grassroots season.
