The tournament, which runs from Wednesday, July 20th, until Sunday, July 24th, featured pool play on Thursday and Friday, with bracket play beginning on Saturday and a Champion crowned on Sunday. The event provided the perfect opportunity to evaluate a ton of local prospects. Here's a look at some local evals.

[player_tooltip player_id='1463303' first='Jaxon' last='Richardson'] 6'4 SG Paul George Elite 2026 - Richardson is a big-time two-way defender. He impacts games with his ability to defend perimeter and interior players effectively. In addition to length and athleticism, he plays with good activity, allowing him to create turnovers. Offensively, he is most effective in transition with the ability to both start and finish plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='989242' first='Osiris' last='Grady'] 6'8 PF Las Vegas Punishers 2023 (#2PHN 2023) - His strength is his rim running and rim protection. Grady changes ends fluidly and has the ability to complete plays in transition. He has a good 2nd jump which allows him to compete for offensive rebounds. He had a couple of spectacular blocks during the weekend, highlighting his shot-blocking ability.

[player_tooltip player_id='1524335' first='Kameron' last='Durant'] 5'10 PG Progress Feels Best 2024 - Durant is a shooting specialist, that was accurate in catch and shoot situations. He was at his best sniping from both corners, showing a quick release while making a couple of clutch late-game shots in the game I watched.

[player_tooltip player_id='1020436' first='Graydon' last='Lemke'] 6'8 PF West Coast Select 2024 (#14PHN 2024) - Lemke is primarily known as a shooter, however, he is beginning to add new facets to his game. I was impressed with his willingness to put the ball on the ground for 1 or 2 dribbles. He didn't shoot it as well as in previous games, however, he still showed sniping ability and is a floor-spacing threat at all times.

[player_tooltip player_id='1057907' first='Andre' last='Porter'] 6'2 SG West Coast Select 2024 (#45PHN 2024) (featured image) - Porter has a chance to be one of the most improved players in the state next season. It starts with his overall confidence, as he showed a dawg-like mentality during the weekend. It then expands with his frame and skill set. He's leaned down and looks explosive with both his first steps and finishes at the rim. His scoring and playmaking were terrific, helping WCS to the 16U Platinum crown.

[player_tooltip player_id='1463230' first='Tyus' last='Thomas'] 5'10 PG West Coast Select 2026 - Thomas is a player on the rise. He's a versatile scorer that executes fundamentals in the low post and the perimeter. He was able to score in the lane, and used angles and pace, to separate from defenders in 1 v 1 situations. What separates him from players of any age is his mentality, as Thomas is an uber competitor that runs toward each big shot of the game. He was magnificent, helping WCS take home the 16U Platinum crown.
