Buddy Hammer Jr. | Hi Octane
Hammer Jr. is a physical 6’6 forward that excels off the ball. He’s a good cutter that can finish against contact. He plays with a motor and will get off the ground to block shots.
Jeremias Heard Jeremias Heard 6'9" | C Model | 2024 State GA | ENG United
Heard was one of my favorite new faces in the live period. The 6’9 big man is recovering from Covid, which sapped his conditioning, but his skill level was on display during his stints. He blocked eight shots in his first game, knocked down a pair of threes after the opposing coach said he couldn’t shoot, and passes better than any 16U big I’ve seen during the event. Even after several weeks off the court, he played with a high effort level.
Isaac Nyakundi Isaac Nyakundi 6'9" | C MacDuffie | 2024 State New E | Starks Elite
Nyakundi recently received offers from NIU and Detroit Mercy. He’ll likely add to the list after showing he can take rebounds coast to coast, run the floor, and box out at 6’9. He has more of an offensive game, but the flow of the game I watched didn’t allow him to get in a rhythm.
Bryan Porter | Beast Elite
Porter is a bruising 6’9 center that knows how to throw his weight around. He runs the floor and is aggressive with his back to the basket. Even when matched up against similar size, he could push opponents deep into the paint.
Zane Gaul Zane Gaul 6'10" | C Prescott | 2025 State AZ | D1 New Mexico
Gaul is just scratching the surface of what he could be. The 6’10 2025 prospect is aggressive around the rim, can attack in straight line drives, and runs the floor. He blocks shots and has range out to three, even if it isn’t very efficient at this point.
Josh Brauer Josh Brauer 6'4" | SF Dubuque Senior | 2025 State IA | Iowa Barnstormers 2025
Brauer may be undersized at the position checking in at 6’3 but it didn’t stop him from being an effective finisher. When facing bigger players, he uses angles to get the space he needs around the basket.
If you’re looking for a high upside player to track in the class of 2025, Smith is your guy. At 6’8 he has great measurements. He’s skinny, mobile, and rebounds. Smith finished well against a scrappy team.
Kalambay looks like he’s on his way to being a consistent double-double threat. The 6’9 big rebounds out of his area, plays with more physicality, and can handle the ball in space. The jump in skill level in just two months was impressive.
Ewan Steele | Canada Elite
Increased mobility and accuracy from deep puts Steele on this list. The 6’8 forward is more vocal on defense and rebounds in a frontcourt full of size. He moves really well without the ball, making him a great cutter.
Adonai Mussie Adonai Mussie 6'9" | C Meadowcreek | 2024 State GA | No Excuses Elite 2024
Mussie had enough blocks this weekend to make a 90 highlight tape. The agile 6’9 big is rail thin but has great timing and closes gaps in a flash. He uses his length to be an effective rebounder and seems to get 4 to 6 second chance points every time he suits up.
