There was some terrific basketball being played at Prep Hoops Live ATL. Welcome to Part 2 of our look at some of the star performances from the event!

[player_tooltip player_id="1213564" first="Jonathan" last="Barron"] (2023, CG, Cenla Dynasty, Northwood, LA)

Barron was an impressive 2 way player over the course of the event. He showed that he can get hot from behind the arc and has a passion for pressuring the ball.

Deontae Bush (2023, SG, Circle City Shooters, Phalen, IN)

Bush has a nice combination of skill set and athleticism. He showed a nose for the bucket and a fearlessness on the offensive end. Bush looks like a scorer at heart that searches for his openings.

[player_tooltip player_id="1275303" first="Jordan" last="Matthews"] (2025, PG, G4WYW, Vandebilt Catholic, LA)

Matthews and D’Ron McZeal was one of the more impressive backcourts I saw over the course of the event. Matthews dynamic play was a big reason for his squads 3-1 record.

Simon Nielsen (2023, PG, Miami Sports Academy 17u, Cypress Bay, FL)

Nielsen showed out at the event, hitting 14 triples over the weekend with 6 coming on Friday alone. In a win over Minnesota Fury 17u, he scored 22 points and didn’t have a single turnover.

[player_tooltip player_id="1419880" first="STEVEN" last="ROGERS"] (2023, PF, Indiana Red Storm 17u, Decatur, IN)

Rogers really turned some heads at Prep Hoops Live. He proved to be a multi level scorer that can create some very real mismatches for his team’s opponent. Rogers has strong hands around the rim and uses his length on D.

[player_tooltip player_id="1431572" first="Tamir" last="Runinkevich"] (2023, SG, Top 1 Performance Basketball 2023, Berkley, MI)

Runinkevich is severley under ranked. He’s been an elite shooter and scorer throughout grassroots season and was a key component to Top 1’s 4-0 record at Prep Hoops Live ATL. Runinkevich’s weekend was highlighted by a 28 point performance in a win over Full Package Select.

Hosie Witt IV (2023, CG, 904 Elite, San Jose Prep, FL)

Witt IV has some really nice upside as a player and a prospect. He showed that he could attack off the perimeter and be a force offensively. His weekend was highlighted by a 20 point performance.
