A lot of high quality teams and players took to Atlanta for the Prep Hoops Live ATL. Players from all over the country left their mark at the event. Let’s look at some of the star performances witnessed at PH Live.

Jamir Carnell (2023, PF, Circle City Shooters, Ben Davis High School, IN)

Carnell showed some elite athleticism and special spring in his shoes. He was very aggressive on the glass and played well through contact, even seeking it out at times.

[player_tooltip player_id="1440401" first="Daniel" last="Grant"] (2023, CG, 904 Elite 2023, San Jose Prep, FL)

Grant certainly made a statement at Prep Hoops Live ATL. He looked like one of the players that’s really tough for a coach to take off the floor because of his work and energy on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="1163418" first="Deiontaye" last="Grant"] (2024, SFm 904 Elite 16u, San Jose Prep, FL)

Grant’s game spoke loudly in Atlanta. He runs and slashes at the rim pass ready and catches the ball with strong hands, ready to make a play. Grant is quite simply a next level defender.

[player_tooltip player_id="1508112" first="Romelo" last="Joseph"] (2024, CG, Cenla Dynasty, Lafayette, LA)

Joseph showed explosive straight line speed and the ability to finish at the rim with balance and body control. He showed very quick hands on defense and can make the opposing ball handler very uncomfortable.

D’Ron McZeal (2025, PG, G4WYN, East Acension, LA)

McZeal was flat out dynamic out of the backcourt. He was a huge part of his teams 3-1 record at the event. McZeal was terrific with the ball in his hands showing explosiveness and control.

Brandon Phillips (2023, SG, Top 1 Performance Basketball Club 2023, Salem, MI)

Phillips probably came to the event hoping to really put his name on the map in Michigan and he did just that. Phillips was named a Top Performer at Live ATL.

[player_tooltip player_id="1372075" first="James" last="Phillips Jr"]. (2024, CG, Detroit Bulldogs, Grosse Pointe North, MI)

Phillips Jr. had an absolutely electric game. He scorched the nets for 31 points and he didn’t even have to be ball dominant to do it. Phillips Jr. went 14-16 from the field, going well beyond being called ’efficient’.

Ethan Roseman (2026, PG, NCBC 2026, Chatard High School, IN)

Roseman is an exciting young talent. He does a nice job controlling tempo and creating looks at the rim. Roseman was named a Top Performer at the event.

[player_tooltip player_id="1504732" first="Drake" last="Skeen"] (2024, SG, Griffin Elite 2024, Hopkins County Central High School, KY)

I mentioned him in a players to watch preview article, pointing out his elite 3 point shot. Thanks for making me look smart Mr. Skeen. He posted a 20 point game with 5 triples in a win over World Hoops.
