Elijah Barret — PF — MN Chill — 16U
Barret is the prototypical “glue guy.” The power forward has no problem doing all of the dirty work necessary for winning. He rebounds, plays tough defense, and is very physical on both ends. In Saturday’s win, Barret did a nice job of finishing through contact, fighting in the paint for rebounds, and moving his feet on defense. He probably won’t ever develop into a prolific scorer, but Barret is certainly a prospect that I would want on my team.
Kelvion Brown — SG — Team GRIII — 15U
Brown still has a long way to go in terms of attracting college interest, but if he keeps improving, the shooting guard will no doubt get there. I really liked how active Brown was on both ends on Sunday. He played really solid defense, grabbed rebounds, finished at the rim, and pushed the pace in transition. Brown is a two-way prospect to keep an eye on moving forward.
Grant Best Grant Best 6'4" | SG Mount Carmel | 2025 IN — PG — Team GRIII — 15U
Even though he didn’t have his best shooting performance on Sunday, Best was still a major reason why his team was able to walk away with a victory. The point guard does a little bit of everything. He is an extremely smart passer who sees the game really well on the offensive end. Best also is a proficient ball handler who is able to weave through traffic with ease. Best was one of my favorite prospects to watch this weekend.
Anthony Murphy — G — Team GRIII — 15U
Murphy brings a lot to the table for a very good Team GRIII squad. The 6-foot-2 guard is an elite defender who is able to use his athletic ability to block shots and protect the paint. He also did an outstanding job of running the floor in transition. On multiple occasions, the guard was able to out-hustle his opponent and record layups. Murphy is the type of prospect that really impacts winning — he is a guy you would want on your team.
Michael Robinson — F — Magnolia Elite — 16U
Robinson did some really good work for Magnolia Elite on Saturday in a winning effort. But for the final day of Prep Hoops Live Atlanta, the forward took it to another level. He was doing everything. He was able to snag 20 rebounds while also putting up 20+ points. You simply don’t see stat lines like this in AAU basketball. Coaches were raving to me on Sunday about Robinson’s performance.
Eric Hopson Eric Hopson 6'0" | SG Decatur Central | 2025 IN — G — EG 10 — 15U
Sundays are for statements. The final day of action represents the last chance for prospects to leave a strong impression with scouts. Hopson of EG 10 15U saved his best performance for last. In a blowout win for his squad, the guard was fantastic. He flirted with a 30-point game, but eventually settled with a stellar 28. Hopson finished at the rim, made outside shots, and passed well to teammates. He did everything.
