As we approach the first live period after the fourth of July and the increase in attention the 2024 class receives from colleges during this window, let us take a look at some of the guys in the 2024 class looking to make a splash early in this first live window.

[player_tooltip player_id="1270094" first="Andrell" last="Burton"], 6’6 Wing, Campus, Buddy Buckets 2024: Continues to improve and turn heads with flashes of skill and shooting prowess and with his size/athleticism combo, Burton will look to emerge as a can’t miss prospect during the live weekend. Very versatile on what positions he can play and can guard, has an elite wingspan, and can rebound, rip, and run with the best of them. Has been shooting the 3 some for Campus this June as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="1378439" first="Zaxton" last="King"], 6’2 Guard, Lawrence, Run GMC: King has come over to Run for the summer session and his elite scoring ability from the perimeter should help make an impact pairing him with the playmaking [player_tooltip player_id="1270090" first="TJ" last="Williams"]. King can get loose off the ball from screen use and cutting and is effective off the catch. Is very good with the ball in his hands in iso’s and transition. Look for a productive summer from King.

[player_tooltip player_id="1270268" first="David" last="Cobin"], 5’10 PG, Desoto, KC Spurs: The top tier point guard is on track to really get on some big radars here in July. Great back court leadership skills and playmaking ability jump right off the page with Cobin and he continues to shoot the three ball off the bounce and as a screen runner at a super high rate. Really understands getting guys in great positions to be effective and is a tough point guard to keep out of the paint. Also takes the challenge on the defensive end and guards the ball with tenacity and anticipation.

[player_tooltip player_id="1270291" first="Carter" last="Coombs"], 5’11 PG, Great Bend, SSA Elite 2024 Black: After not playing this spring, Coombs enters the July Live period as some new energy and player for coaches to get eyes on. Has gotten stronger with the ball in his hands over the year and reduced turnovers at great Bend, continues to develop getting down hill, is a nifty passer creating off the dribble, and the pull up jumper game has looked good in July. Very savvy and competitive point guard.

[player_tooltip player_id="1270297" first="Jaxon" last="Klein"], 6’5, BVNW, KC Spurs (Pictured): A very long and active wing/stretch 4 prospect who pairs nicely with the previously mentioned Cobin. Wil be a pivotal piece to a really good Blue Valley NW team and also shows the value he brings with the Spurs in the summer. His length, spring, energy, and high IQ should splash this summer. I like Klein’s ability to rip drive and shoot from 15+, attack both boards, defend multiple positions, and make winning intangible plays with a ton of upside on the wing.
