Green Run against Albemarle was a low-scoring, physical battle that was close throughout. Not many players stood out on the offensive end, but one of the guys who was outstanding down the stretch was Kass Jackson. Albemarle had a lot of attention on Kass, and he didn’t have a big scoring game. He had a handful of clutch free throws, and he had the buzzer-beating lay-in to win states. Kass did not make the mistake a lot of guards do at the end of games where they settle for a contested jump shot. He put his head down and had a terrific lay-in to win. He finished with 13 points.
