Cam Insalco – Martin County
2023 Cam Insalco helped Martin County to a 27-4 record and Class 6A state championship. The 6-foot-2 guard averaged 8.4 points per game on 55 percent shooting from the floor last season. Overall, Insalco scored in double-figures in 12 contests. With Ryan Davis (15.2 ppg) and Jack Pierrelus (8.7 ppg) graduating, Insalco has an opportunity to take another step. He is also an excellent defender and student in the classroom (3.4 GPA).
Rey Daniels Rey Daniels 6'0" | PG North Miami | 2024 FL – North Miami
2024 Rey Daniels Rey Daniels 6'0" | PG North Miami | 2024 FL has already shown to be a solid offensive prospect. The 5-foot-10 point guard averaged eight points per game on 50 percent shooting from the field last season. Moreover, Daniels went 28-of-58 (48 percent) from deep. With North Miami losing four seniors that averaged over 10 points per game, Daniels should see an increased role. Expectations should also remain high after the Pioneers won 22 games.
Julian Granville Julian Granville 6'3" | PG NSU University | 2024 State FL – University School
2024 Julian Granville Julian Granville 6'3" | PG NSU University | 2024 State FL has plenty of size and handle to build upon offensively. The 6-foot-3 point guard averaged 6.2 points per game while shooting 48 percent from the field last season. Granville shot at least 50 percent from the floor in each of his five double-figure outings. The Sharks also lose three seniors that averaged at least 9.2 points per game.
Ashton Smith Ashton Smith 6'2" | PG Sagemont | 2023 State FL – Sagemont
Sagemont has a strong 2023 class that includes Ashton Smith Ashton Smith 6'2" | PG Sagemont | 2023 State FL . The 6-foot-1 prospect averaged 9.7 points per game while shooting 52 percent from the field last season. In addition, Smith went 42-of-99 (42 percent) from deep. Overall, he scored in double-figures in 17 contests. Smith has proven to be a three-level scorer which helped Sagemont win 25 games. He is very quick with ability to attack off the dribble. Despite 2022 Adrian Cruz gone, this whole class should keep Sagemont back in position for another Lakeland run.
Maximus Turner Maximus Turner 6'5" | SG Cyrpress Creek | 2023 FL – Cypress Bay
The Lightning had one of the best seasons in school history behind 2022’s Kevin Pazmino (13.6 ppg), Noah Kattan (11.1 ppg), and Maxwell Gordon (8.3). Those three helped lead Cypress Bay to a 23-6 record and spot in the 7A regional finals. Could 6-foot-5 Maximus Turner Maximus Turner 6'5" | SG Cyrpress Creek | 2023 FL carry the mantle forward? Turner averaged 8.3 points per game while shooting a team-best 52 percent from the floor. Overall, he scored in double-figures in seven contests. Turner’s size and increased ability to stretch the floor could propel him to a big senior season.
