Grown man strength and a grown man game. Trey Hood was unstoppable, scoring from all three levels in a 75-60 win. Hood hit three three-pointers and used his physical frame to attack the rim and finish through contact. Hood scored with both hands up close and converted second chance opportunities with a quick second leap. Speaking of leaping, Hood put an exclamation point on his big day with a thunderous dunk. Hood poured in 32 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal.

I love the energy and consistency Jimar brings to the game. He first caught my eye down in Daytona and he brought that same motor with him to Douglasville. Franklin is a highly active forward. He rebounds extremely hard, light off his feet. His nose for the ball and ability to position himself for caroms makes him play bigger than his size. Franklin scored on a handful of putbacks but it was his aggressive slashing that really put the defense in trouble. He converted in traffic and even finished with eurosteps and floaters. Jimar finished with 27 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 3 blocks. Franklin is quickly becoming one of my favorite players on the circuit.

2023 6-3 W Andre Akbar – NEB Elite
3&D is Akbar’s calling card. He has great wiry length and is a deadeye shooter, especially from the corners. He drained five threes from the corners and six for the game as he erupted for 22 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 steals. Akbar gets hot in a hurry. He took over during the second half to lift NEB past WBBP.

2022 6-4 W [player_tooltip player_id="1051642" first="Desmond" last="Duncan"] – WBBP Rush
One of many WBBP players with great size and athleticism, Duncan does a little bit of everything. He finishes with both hands inside and is a consistent rebounder. He does most of his work around the rim, but he can also hit the mid-range and is a valuable defender that can guard all over. He had 22 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks vs. NEB.

2023 6-4 G Bralyn Mayfield – WBBP Rush
Bralyn exploded in Game 1 with 25 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 1 block. He cashed in three threes and was unstoppable downhill against an overpowered GSW Black team. Mayfield netted a pair of three-pointers en route to 12 points and 5 rebounds against NEB. Mayfield’s size and perimeter versatility are noteworthy.

2022 6-3 G [player_tooltip player_id="1270245" first="D’Anthony" last="Kimble"] – WBBP Rush
Consistency was a hallmark of [player_tooltip player_id="1270245" first="D’Anthony" last="Kimble"]’s game. He’s a power-packed guard that can play 1-4. He’s got the strength to overwhelm smaller defenders inside and is quick enough to beat his man downhill. Kimble’s inside-out arsenal also features an efficient three-point shot. Kimble had 16 points and 8 rebounds in each of his two games.
