<p>Top 1 17u is a talented squad here in Michigan. Their roster is filled with players that carry a wide array of skill sets for next level coaches to see. Top 1 17u has a collection of high upside basketball players that are on the rise as prospects.</p> <h2>ROSTER</h2> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1214780" first="Jackson" last="Reynolds"] </strong></p> <p>"He is a savvy and crafty playmaker who can score from all 3 levels. High motor and a great teammate. He has an incredibly hard work ethic that matches his incredible scoring ability. A real steal for any college. My nickname for him is "Baby Booker" because of his similar play style to Devin Booker." - Coach Chris Mattei</p> <p><strong>Dante Favor </strong></p> <p>"Dante is our best defender hands down. He defends at a D1 level and is a nightmare for his matchup every game. With him being 6’7" and having over a 7’ wingspan it also allows him to shoot over defenders and attack the rim with ferocious dunks. Kid is a workhorse." - Coach Chris Mattei</p> <p><strong>Julian Robinson </strong></p> <p>"Ju is our spark plug and our team’s source of energy. He is willing to guard 94 feet without me having to ask. He does the dirty work, is a great finisher around the rim, good shooter, and one of the best perimeter defenders I’ve seen in a long time." - Coach Chris Mattei</p> <p><strong>Bryce Garbacz</strong></p> <p>"Bryce is a 40+% 3 point shooter and also has one of the highest basketball IQ’s on our team. Always team first with a great work ethic and a great teammate. Jake is a really strong kid that uses his technique and strength to bully his opponent on offense and defense. Being 6’7" he can truly play positions 1-5 which makes him extremely valuable and versatile. He can defend, rebound, pass, make open and contested shots, dunk on you, leep score, and serve popcorn at halftime. He also has an extremely high motor. He is playing up from the 2025 class to play with our 2023 team. He is what the kids would call "a walking bucket". Being a 6’6"-6’7" wing, he can score at all 3 levels while being a nightmare for his opponent while he’s on defense.
