Continue ReadingAs the AAU basketball season moves forward, our Prep Hoops Rankings update for the summer continues with the players from the class of 2025 in the state of Pennsylvania. The staff here at Prep Hoops PA has diligently gathered information and worked extremely hard to develop an extraordinarily comprehensive list of 300 high school basketball student-athletes. These rising sophomores have the balance of talent to be the most heavily recruited group in a long time throughout the state. Many young men have been in constant communication with college coaches, while a variety of others are starting to garner attention as well. After the completion of the high school season and with AAU in full tournament mode, these skilled performers climbed the rankings for our current update.
WESTERN PA 2025 STOCK RISERS:
+132… Alonzo Wade Alonzo Wade 6'2" | PF Belle Vernon | 2025 State PA , 6’2, power forward, Belle Vernon High School…This skilled forward brings the toughness and tenacity to be a difference-maker on the hardwood throughout a full contest. He likes to score in the post as well as from mid-range with consistency. Alonzo jumped onto the scene as a freshman this high school season learning from a talented group of upperclassmen which helped him adjust extremely well to WPIAL action.
+83… Zion Moore Zion Moore 6'2" | SF Bellevernon | 2025 State PA , 6’2, wing forward, Ringgold High School…A talented wing with the scoring ability to be a huge matchup problem for any opponent. His above-average basketball skill has garnered a great amount of attention from local media members. Zion puts forth the effort needed to excel on the court while making his teammates better despite his young age.
+38…Notorious Groom, 5’10, combo guard, Uniontown High School…An above-average ball handler and passer has created a sense of leadership bestowed upon him from the coaching staff as well as the team. He can score from a variety of spots on the floor in the half-court set and likes to push the ball up the court in transition with creative moves in the lane to finish at the basket or assist his teammates on scoring opportunities.
+24… Amere Brown Amere Brown 5'10" | SG Pittsburgh | 2025 State PA , 5’10, shooting guard, Woodland Hills High School…Not only is this young man a skilled performer on the football field, but he brings athletisicm to the hardwood to help his team be successful. He handles the ball very well and is an excellent passer that looks to set up his teammates. Amere is a tough, hard-nosed kid that likes to play fast and physical.
+9… Cameron Epps Cameron Epps 5'6" | PG South Allegheny | 2025 State PA , 5’6, point guard, South Allegheny High School…Despite his small stature he played “big” for South Allegheny this season during the playoffs. This skilled guard is extremely quick with the ball in his hands. Cameron makes the open shot with precision as well.
