We move over to the 2024 class. This is usually the year, that juniors start to get more involved into their teams success and make more of the plays with bigger playing time.
2024
Noah Sowunmi Noah Sowunmi 6'4" | SF North Canyon | 2024 State AZ Paradise Valley (Pictured)
A new-age position-less player seems to play the 1-4 and will defend any position as well. He makes good decisions with the ball and he is extremely athletic. He makes perimeter jumpers and is best getting through traffic with his nice handle.
AJ Thomas AJ Thomas 6'4" | PG Eduprize | 2025 State #292 Nation AZ Eduprize
A pure point guard with impeccable court vision and timing. He uses his length and speed to get into the lane and score through contact. He can hit the three but loves touching the paint and facilitating. His shift to his handle is next level stuff.
Travis Torain Travis Torain 6'7" | SF Dream City Christian | 2024 State #173 Nation AZ Dream City Christian
A face-up forward had a big spring shooting the ball from the arc. He shot a mind boggling 47% from the beyond the stripe and had some volume as well. He had multiple games he made more then four including six on the always tough EYBL for AZ Unity. He rebounds well and he could be a specialist at the next level.
Grant Woods Grant Woods 6'6" | PF Valley Christian | 2024 State AZ Gilbert Christian
Another face-up four-man with a pretty shooting stroke. He is best as a three point shooter but he can give a shot fake and drive it to the rim or do the one-dribble pull-up from mid-range. He rebounds in and out of his area and should have a big year for the Knights.
Tyler Hutton Tyler Hutton 6'5" | SF Cactus | 2024 State AZ Highland Prep
A versatile inside and out forward is transforming into a full time wing. He has great length and a shooting touch to the arc. He can get on the glass and defend multiple positions. He handles it decently and can rip through and score among bigger players.
Gabriel Emerson Gabriel Emerson 6'6" | PF McClintock | 2024 State AZ McClintock
A thick power forward who works well in the trenches and holds his ground, has dramatically improved his shooting. He will still rebound and defend inside but he will now step out and hit the three with a nice shooting stroke.
Barron Silsby Barron Silsby 6'1" | PG Perry | 2024 State AZ Perry
A slick ball handler is that rare pure point guard. He has advanced passing skills and great instincts to time the ball into a teammates shooting pocket. He shoots the three, drives by his defenders and will finish or drive and kick.
Jake Miller Jake Miller 5'11" | PG Rancho Solano Preparatory | 2024 State AZ Chaparral
A shooting lead guard with a high feel for the game. He should hopefully get his chance to shine on varsity this upcoming season. He can thread the needle to his teammates and hit open 3’s. He will also create his own offense with a quick handle.
