This will be a great addition for LSSU. Herron is playing his best basketball and has been at a VERY high level since this summer with the Playmakers. Herron has a pure jumper and is a smart shooter that recognizes good looks. He has a college ready basketball IQ.

Herron had a very impressive grassroots season and The Expo would be a great place to continue that run. He was highly efficient with the ball all summer, making the right play and right pass on a consistent basis. Herron can score the ball, but doesn’t force looks to do it.

While a couple other Playmakers deservedly got a lot of attention, it’s important not to overlook the influence that Herron had. He showed a well rounded and versatile perimeter game. Herron played smart and efficient and showed he could be relied on as a primary ball handler. But he also showed the ability to move off the ball and put points on the board.

Herron III has himself a summer, playing some top notch basketball. In all honesty, he probably hasn’t gotten the praise that he deserves. The Michigan Playmakers have been excellent all spring and summer and Herron has been a huge part of that. He works hard off the ball and can be a primary ball handler as well. Herron’s weekend was highlighted with a 21 point performance.

Herron III is probably an underrated defender. But he should know that there are people out there that see his grit on that end. Herron III is an athletic playmaking defender that can slow down the fast break as well as get half court stops.

Herron III is a player that coaches at the next level are going to want to be very familiar with. Rumor has it that he can be seen at the City Slam Pick-Up Ball Championship later this month. Herron III can attack the rim with a pretty euro step and touch around the basket. He can also defend the entire length of the floor.
