The 2022 forward class got a little bit smaller recently as Hun’s [player_tooltip player_id="931031" first="Isiaha" last="Dickens"] committed to Williams. The group is still filled with talent who can make an impact at the next level. Here are the available 2022 forwards who could be off the board next.th

[player_tooltip player_id="1016676" first="Landon" last="Shivers"], 6’8 PF Life Center Academy

Shivers had a strong 2021-22 season for Life Center Academy, which should help him at the next level. The 6’8 forward runs the floor hard, setting himself up for easy baskets in transition. Shivers has a nice touch around the basket and is capable of knocking down open jumpers in the mid-range. He skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his length to alter shots on defense. Shivers is a two-way forward prospect who ability to run the floor will help him in a big way at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="1017708" first="Dane" last="Moran"], 6’9 PF Lawrenceville

Moran is an intriguing prospect with his versatile skillset. The 6’9 forward plays with good footwork in the post, allowing for him get open and finish nicely around the basket. Moran can also play on the perimeter as he can put the ball on the floor and knock down open shots in the perimeter. He is a solid rebounder and makes good passes. Moran’s versatility on offense is something that will help his stock in a big way at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="900313" first="Matteo" last="Strikker"], 6’8 SF Olympus Prep

Strikker has the potential to play in the backcourt at the next level, but he will most likely play on the wing. The 6’8 wing plays with good court vision and is able to find his open teammates in transition and the halfcourt. Strikker uses his handle to get to the basket and is able to finish through contact. He is capable of knocking down shots on the perimeter and has the potential to defend multiple positions. Strikker is a talented forward prospect who could see himself committed sooner rather than later.

[player_tooltip player_id="1045681" first="Austin" last="Green"], 6’7 SF/PF Covenant College Prep

Green has the potential to play either the 3 or the 4 at the next level with his combination of size and athleticism. The 6’7 forward is at his best in transition as he finishes strong above the rim and can push the pace with the ball in his hands. Green uses his size to shoot over smaller defenders and plays with confidence in the half court. He skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his athleticism to make plays on the defensive end. Green is a long, athletic forward prospect whose finishing ability should help him at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="1146496" first="Cameron" last="Downs"], 6’4 SF/PF Pemberton

Downs had a strong final 2 varsity seasons for Pemberton as opponents had trouble stopping him in the post. The 6’4 forward has a strong frame, which he uses to finish through contact and get position in the paint. Downs has solid footwork down low and is becoming more consistent with his perimeter game. He is tough to box out on both ends of the floor and is an underrated interior defender. Downs is a physical forward prospect whose ability to fight for rebounds on both ends of the floor will help him at the next level.
