Brady proved to be a trustworthy and reliable source of facilitating and scoring for his team. It’s a relief to have one player on the court that always knows what is going on, both in knowing what his team wants to accomplish each possession and what is happening in the frenzy of the game.
What I just mentioned is the luxury that Brady gave to his coach.
I would love to say that Brady will bring his high IQ and his coach on the floor capacity to the next level, but unfortunately, after speaking with B, he revealed to me that he is retiring from basketball. We wish B the best in his future endeavors.
Terry Coner Jr. (6’0/Point Guard/2023)

Terry was one of the most stabilizing forces for the Pinson Valley squad. Whenever things were not going right, Coach Darryl Barber could always turn to TC and keep things afloat. He is one of the most complete and all-around players amongst the All-Birmingham teams.
He impacts both ends of the court and competes at a high-level night in and night out.
Look for TC to have a solid spring and summer as he prepares to lead the Indians, hopefully to Birmingham in his final season.

MJ had a senior year that made noise across the basketball community, namely with collegiate coaches. Many have inquired about the PG that produced at a high level throughout the season.
He is a PG that can get buckets and is a ferocious playmaker.
He is an athletic, aggressive off the bounce guard who can significantly impact the next level.
I reached out to MJ on Thursday, March 31, to check in with him on his recruitment, but there has been no response at the time of this release.
Kyle Layton Kyle Layton 6'0" | PG Mountain Brook | 2023 State AL (6’0 / Combo Guard / 2023)

Make no mistake about it, Kyle had an impressive Junior year, even though his Spartan squad fell short of their ultimate goal. Kyle shot the ball effectively throughout the year and shot it with accuracy from deep which fit the Spartan system perfectly.
The Spartans play fast, and Kyle fit right into that style of play as he got out often in transition, racing to the other side flashing his athleticism when finishing at the rim.
Kyle will be another one of the many sought out players that come out of the Spartan program.
Dasean Jameil Sellers (6’5/Shooting Guard/2023)

One of the most versatile athletes on the All-Birmingham 2nd team is Dasean. Dasean could possibly be All-Birmingham POY next year, as he is that talented of a player. He is one of the most decorated iso scorers in the 2023 class, and he is a real bucket getter.
He also has the body and athletic tools to be a premier defender, and he does not shy away from the action on the glass.
He is a player that college coaches need to take some time to see if he may fit into their system because he is a player you don’t want to miss out on.
Stay tuned as we will take a closer look into the All-Birmingham 1st Team.
