Las Vegas Unsigned Senior Camp: Stockrisers

<p>The Las Vegas Unsigned Senior Camp took place Sunday, March 20th. The 1-day camp featured skills training, positional breakdown instructions, and 5 on 5 competition. The event was held at the Tarkanian Basketball Academy located at 2730 S Rancho Dr. All games from the camp were live-streamed and the recorded content can be found on the <a href="https://www.smithbrosnetwork.com/7outz">7outz Network</a>. This camp platform provides an opportunity for unknown players to get discovered, and the event features several prospects ready to take advantage of the opportunity. The camp featured over 40 prospects including several who came to the camp with offers. Some campers left an impression on coaches and picked up offers of their own. In this article, we take a look at some stockrisers from the event. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1338779" first="Kasen" last="Boggs"] <em>6’3 CG Douglas (#27)</em> - I knew Boggs was good, but he’s better than I thought. Showed big-time athleticism, to go along with an advanced offensive package. Volume shooter, but he will beat you from three if left open, and showed a nice burst when attacking the lane. I like his handle and shiftiness, and his ability to play above the rim, makes him an even more intriguing prospect. He’s certainly prepared to rise in the next rankings. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1298347" first="Marcus" last="Lawson"] <em>6’4 SG Legacy (#67)</em> - [player_tooltip player_id="1298347" first="Marcus" last="Lawson"] was really good. I now see how he led Legacy in scoring. He has an efficient 1 v1 game and is able to get to the basket using two or fewer dribbles. He’s a decent athlete that threw down a few dunks, but it was his overall skill set that caught my eye. His handle could use some improvement, however, because he doesn’t waste bounces, it’s difficult to take advantage of. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1385368" first="Amaris" last="Quenum-Stewart"] <em>6’5 PF Mojave (#29) (featured image)</em> - I’m convinced AQS can play some wing at the college level. He had several grab-and-go moments, getting the ball off the glass and leading the break. He’s a better than average athlete that can score with his back to the basket, or get out and finish in transition.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1137209" first="Desean" last="Moreno"] <em>6’4 SF Spring Valley (#30)</em> - Moreno is going to be one of the top players on my all Cedrick Ceballos team. He just seems to always find baskets. Moreno is the quintessential guy who sprints, catches, and finishes. He does this consistently and at a high level, including catching lobs and finishing plays with dunks. He went on to take home MVP honors of the Top 20 game. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1048706" first="Phoenix" last="Wortham"] <em>6’1 SG Green Valley (#71)</em> - Wortham was one of the top Snipers at the camp. A card-carrying member of my all irrational confidence squad, Wortham never met a shot attempt he didn’t like. He sprayed threes from all over the court, putting up a 30 ball in the A.S game.
