This new addition to the 2023 rankings might be a big riser this season. With lots of other guards around, he stood out. He’s quick and springy and explosive with the ball. He splits defenders to break down defenses and can get to shots in the midrange. He consistently knocked down threes and also ran to buckets in transition.

On a team loaded with talented guards, Doss excelled last season, putting up 11 points per game. He’ll probably take on more of a leader/distributor role next year. But this summer he showed off some impressive ability to score from the point. He gets to open shots and finishes with creativity. He’s pesky at the defensive end and is quick to turn defense into offense.
