Stats: 15.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.3 blocks, 3.3 steals, 61.5 FG%, 81.3 FT%

The bouncy 6-4 forward was consistent all week, scoring in double-figures in each of the Lynx’s games and doing so efficiently. He wasn’t afraid to take it at Tobiloba in the championship game and showed that he can finish from odd angles.

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="1158420" first="Wyatt" last="Helming"] (Lake Mills)
Stats: 21.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 blocks, 39.5 FG%, 28.6 3P%, 100.0 FT%

Helming’s efficiency numbers pale in comparison to the rest of the players on this list, but he nearly helped deliver a huge upset in the semifinals when he scored 36 points on 14-33 shooting to go with 11 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks in their double-overtime loss to Grand View Christian. A big, 6-6 scoring forward, he was excellent operating out of the mid-post in that game and even showed his ability to step out and stretch the floor.

Stats: 9.7 points, 16.7 rebounds (5.0 offensive), 4.3 blocks, 1.0 steals, 56.3 FG%, 55.0 FT%

Tobiloba put together another dominant week on the glass and as a rim protector in helping lead the Thunder to a runner-up finish. The athletic 6-11 big man has great shot-blocking instincts and was fantastic on the glass all week. His best game of the week was in the championship game, scoring 15 points on 6-9 shooting with 18 rebounds. He may have even figured out his free-throw shooting woes, knocking down each of his last seven free throws during the week.

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="1141465" first="Josh" last="Baucum"] (Grand View Christian)
Stats: 16.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.0 steals, 56.7 FG%, 44.4 3P%, 64.7 FT%

Baucum was exceptional on both ends of the floor in the Thunder’s big comeback win in the semifinals over Lake Mills, scoring 27 points and completely taking [player_tooltip player_id="1158456" first="Bennett" last="Berger"] out of the game on the defensive end. His foul trouble in the championship game was a major issue, but he still found ways to be productive even with a different offensive approach than he usually plays with.

Stats: 15.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 steals, 55.6 FG%, 55.6 3P%, 85.7 FT%

Kurt was left off of the all-tournament team by the media, with Hilmer taking his spot instead, but the 6-2 guard was really good all week, finishing third in the tournament in scoring and doing so at a highly efficient clip. He saved his best for last, going 5-9 (2-2 3P, 4-4 FT) in the Lynx’s state championship game win over Grand View Christian.
