Expert Analysis
TC Jones | Prep Hoops Scout
On court, Priester stands out as a smooth spot-up threat and is confident in catch-and-shoot scenarios. His comfort in firing from the perimeter forces opponents to guard him tightly, opening space for his off-ball movement and slashing ability. What sets Priester apart is his growing confidence attacking the rim. Coaches I’ve spoken with noted a more aggressive approach this spring. Defensively, Priester’s length and athleticism allow him to guard multiple positions. He shows enough mobility to bother perimeter players while crashing the glass aggressively on both ends. I see him as an academic-minded D-III prospect that would instantly boost a team on that level.

Priester is a swingman who makes his presence felt from behind the three point line. Priester shows some patience when he is on the attack. He has no issue sacrificing his body for the good of the team. He is stuck between a few positions. He should be a priority recruit at the small college level.

He moves well off the ball and scores on back cuts along with coming off screens ready to shoot. He’s been attacking the rim more this summer and is scoring on all three levels.

has excellent size for the small forward position and showcases an impressive scoring ability. He frequently poured in 20+ point performances at events like the Pitt Jam Fest, thanks in large part to his shooting and range from beyond the arc. Priester excels as a spot-up threat, getting his shot off quickly and knocking down attempts even when closely contested. One of the most intriguing aspects of his game is his understanding of how to move without the ball. While already a skilled perimeter scorer, continuing to improve at attacking the rim and finishing through contact will make Priester an even more complete offensive threat going forward.
