Shea Champine Shea Champine 6'0" | CG Bishop Canevin | 2023 State PA – 6’0″ G – Bishop Canevin
Champine ran the point for Bishop Canevin and led the team to the 1A WPIAL title on Thursday. He was confident shooting off the dribble, had excellent control in the lane, and got to the line at will, especially down the stretch. He was poised late in the game, hitting eight of his ten free-throw attempts in the second half to lead the Crusaders to the title. Champine looked comfortable and patient running the pick and roll, and oftentimes snuck his way to the rack with speed and explosiveness.He finished with a team-high 15 points on 3-for-4 FG, 8-for-10 FT.
Amari Evans – 6’4″ W – Bishop Canevin
Evans, a freshman wing, shined in Bishop Canevin’s victory, dropping ten points and seven rebounds on Thursday. He was a pest on the defensive end with his length, grabbing three steals and blocking one shot. He showed off elite bounce and coordination for just a freshman, throwing down a monster slam in transition. Finished with 10 points and 7 rebounds, hit all six of his free throws, and finished with a game-high +/- of 16.
Kevaughn Price Kevaughn Price 6'3" | SG Bishop Canevin | 2022 State PA – 6’2″ W – Bishop Canevin
Price hit three of his four shots, using his physicality and athleticism inside over smaller defenders and comfortably controlling the paint from the start. He had soft touch, finishing well around the rim all night when he got good looks inside and early position. Price also grabbed four rebounds and took care of the ball with every touch, not turning it over once all game.
Mark Stanley Mark Stanley 6'2" | SF Union | 2023 State PA – 6’0″ F – Union
Stanley, one of three sons of head coach Mark Stanley Mark Stanley 6'2" | SF Union | 2023 State PA , is an undersized forward who used precise footwork and pump fakes in the paint to dominate inside, even against taller defenders. He scored 10 early points for the Scotties on 5-for-8 first-half shooting. Stanley, boxed out taller defenders well, grabbing five rebounds in the loss. Played with heart, hustle even while down big.
Kaden Fisher – 6’3″ W/F – Union
Fisher is another undersized big that was very active on the glass for Union, grabbing four offensive rebounds and two defensive rebounds. He hit two of his four shot attempts, which mostly came down low after he had established position under the basket. Finished with six points.
