WPIAL Championship Preview: Who to Watch in Class 1A Title Game

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Over the past week, teams from all six WPIAL classifications have battled in the conference tournaments around the area. We are now onto the championship round, which will be held at the Petersen Events Center on Pitt’s campus.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">From Thursday to Saturday, each day will consist of two championship games. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Let’s take a look at some of the top prospects competing in Thursday’s 1A Title game.</span></p>
<p><b>Thursday, 5 p.m: Bishop Canevin Vs. Union (1A)</b></p>

<li>Knockdown shooter from outside</li>
<li>High-energy, always a threat on the wing</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Bouncy, active guard on the glass. Potent scorer. </li>
<li>Tough to stop when he gets moving downhill in the lane. Solid finisher.</li>

<li>Long, physical wing that uses his size and length on both sides of the ball well</li>
<li>Gets to the rim, also utilizes a solid mid-range shot</li>

<li>Leading scorer for Union, averaging over 18 a game and coming off a 36-point performance in the semifinals</li>
