However, we can assume a few prospects will step up on the biggest stage in the state. Which players in South Florida could that be? This is the time to do and perhaps take some momentum onto the summer circuit.
Let’s look at those picks..
Nicolas Flowers – Riviera Prep
2022 Nicolas Flowers had a nice game against Westminster Academy with eight points, two assists and three rebounds. Moreover, two of Flowers’ baskets were for three pointers. The 6-foot-4 guard can also fly to the rim if given the opportunity. He is averaging 6.7 points and 3.9 rebounds per game and has made 31 3-pointers.
Kevin Noriega – Miami Columbus
2023 Kevin Noriega had a nice game against Cypress Bay in the 7A-4 regional final. The 5-foot-9 guard tied his season-high with 12 points while hitting three 3-pointers. That was Noriega’s fourth game in double-figures this season. Could his recent performance give him a push? Overall, Noriega is averaging 4.2 points across 29 contests.
Anthony Coby Anthony Coby 6'1" | CG Jupiter Christian | 2023 FL – Lake Worth
2023 Anthony Coby Anthony Coby 6'1" | CG Jupiter Christian | 2023 FL is a really nice shooting guard that has found some success this postseason. The Dwyer transfer chipped in with 11 points against Osceola and played well previously against Forest Hill. Per information, Coby has hit three or more 3-pointers in nine games this season. He is averaging 9.6 points per game for the Trojans.
Dominic Issa Dominic Issa 6'6" | SF Sagemont | 2024 State FL – Sagemont
2024 Dominic Issa Dominic Issa 6'6" | SF Sagemont | 2024 State FL can be an effective player with his size. The 6-foot-6 forward has averaged 6.9 points while grabbing a team-best 6.4 boards per game. In addition, you also need to be aware of his 3-point shooting ability. Issa has gone 25-of-49 (51 percent) from beyond the arc. He had ten points and shot 83 percent from the field against Atlantic Christian in the 2A-4 regional final.
Cam Insalaco Cam Insalaco 6'2" | PG Martin County | 2023 FL – Martin County
The Tigers have a number of players that can score, including Cam Insalaco Cam Insalaco 6'2" | PG Martin County | 2023 FL . The 6-foot-2 guard has averaged eight points per game while shooting 56 percent from the floor. Insalaco scored seven points and dished out three assists in Martin County’s huge win over Pembroke Pines Charter. His season-high is 24 points against Clay, so you know Insalaco is capable of a big game. Overall, he has eleven double-figure outputs this season.
