2023 Rankings Stock Risers Upstate NY Edition

He is the best passer every time he steps on the court, and with great height from the point guard position, Barley gets his shot off anywhere. He also can handle the ball at a high level and is an extremely creative finisher around the rim. This upcoming summer, Barley’s stock will skyrocket.</p> <p><strong>9. 6’4 SG [player_tooltip player_id="1379258" first="Shane" last="Cerone"]</strong></p> <p>Having the pleasure to watch [player_tooltip player_id="1379258" first="Shane" last="Cerone"] twice this year, it’s easy to see why he has offers from Fairfield &amp; UAlbany. The 6’4 guard has a quick first step and is a powerful jumper who will dunk every chance he gets. A consistent shooter who has extended range has to be guarded past the NBA line when he is shooting with confidence. A great defender who constantly guards the best player on the other team, Cerone is poised for a great summer.</p> <p><strong>22. 6’4 SG [player_tooltip player_id="1204334" first="Luke" last="Paragon"]</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1204334" first="Luke" last="Paragon"] may be the best shooter in NYS. Currently holding an offer from Stony Brook, Luke has been lighting it up all year. A knockdown shooter from anywhere across halfcourt who can change a game in various ways. What impresses is Paragon’s IQ and understanding of the game. As a known shooter, he understands that the best way to get his shot is by being a great screener off the ball. He does his best to help create for others, allowing him to find open shots.</p> <p><strong>30. 6’3 CG [player_tooltip player_id="1204517" first="Jackson" last="Green"]</strong></p> <p>Currently holding 10+ football offers, [player_tooltip player_id="1204517" first="Jackson" last="Green"] is the most well-rounded player on this list. There isn’t anything he can’t do on the basketball court. Every night he steps on the floor, Green is the best shooter, the best ball handler, the best playmaker, the best rebounder, and the best defender. Green has led his team to the top spot in NYS rankings in class A. He was a proven winner since his freshman year, having won states as an eighth-grader and sectionals again as a sophomore. Whether he chooses football or basketball Green will bring game-changing abilities and a winning mentality to wherever he ends up.</p> <p><strong>35. 5’10 PG [player_tooltip player_id="1203425" first="Jason" last="Gibbs"] Jr</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1203425" first="Jason" last="Gibbs"] Jr has elite quickness and excellent finishing ability for a player under 6 feet tall. He attacks the basket at will and finishes with both hands through contact, constantly sending him to the free-throw line, where he converts over 90% from the stripe. Gibbs shoots well off the dribble, which forces defenses to stay honest and not guard the paint. He has seen box &amp; ones and faceguards all year but still finds a way to have massive games.
