2023 Bryce Clayton Guard 6’4 Guard

Barron Collier’s leading scorer on this talented squad can flat-out shoot the ball. Shoots well off screens, spot-up, and I’ve even caught the prospect creating his own shot a handful of times. College-ready frame and confidence as a shooter make him a threat that needs to be accounted for at all times by the defense.

Look for him to play a big role this coming week 2/22 in 5A Regional Semi-Finals in a much-anticipated matchup against the Charlotte Tarpons.

2022 Josh RogoSich 6’0 Guard

This senior guard leads the charge in scoring for the King’s this season, shooting 43% from behind the arc. Rogosich is a versatile shooter able to shoot off the catch and at times create his own shot off the one-dribble pullup. Id love to watch him spend more time playing at the 1.

There is no question Rogosich is one of SWFL’s best shooters.

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="953010" first="DJ" last="Woods"] 6’0 Guard

Not only is Woods a capable shooter, shooting right at 40% from behind the arc for the season. A case could be made that he is SWFL’s top guard at this point.

Scoring over 400 points this season and still going in what most would consider a breakout season for the senior guard. Last night he proved to be a clutch shooter even when he’s been the focal point of the opposing team’s defense. This prospect checks all the boxes.

2022 Zach Everly 6’7 PF

There is so much upside to this 6’7 sniper. In both district and regional playoffs this young man has kept his team in the fight shooting an efficient 58% from behind the 3 during post-season play.

Last night he hit 5 3s to keep it a close game with Charlotte. Everly doesn’t seem phased by pressure, he knows his role and executes with precision. Zach Everly is ready for the next level.

2023 Colin Alvarez 5’10 guard

Alvarez shot a very impressive 47% from 3 this season. His junior campaign was highlighted by back-to-back 30 point games. Not only can this prospect shoot at an effective clip, but he also has a knack for finding the open man. He leads this Gateway squad in assists averaging 4 a game. Look for Alverez to have a big senior season with the Gateway Eagles.

2024 Justin Heinrich 6’4 Guard

It’s no secret in SWFL what this sophomore guard is capable of doing when it comes to shooting. The lone underclassman on this list, he’s one of the most confident shooters I’ve watched this year. Heinrich shot an astounding 45% on the season from behind the arc.

This young man puts in the work, and it shows when he shoots. Shot selection is second to none, nothing is forced. The young Heinrich’s stock will continue to rise as I expect him to have a stellar travel season.
