Today, we take a look at part one of some of the new faces in the rankings, featuring transfers into the state and players who have come onto our radar.

#1 Chris Livingston Chris Livingston 6'6" | SF Oak Hill Academy | 2022 State #9 Nation VA | 6’6” SF | Oak Hill Academy
One of the top players in the country, Livingston came to Oak Hill this year from Buchtel in Ohio and the Kentucky commit has helped the Warriors to another nationally recognized season against some of the best competition in the country. The 6’6” wing is a strong downhill driver who can finish at the rim and through contact, he can knock down shots from deep and make plays off the bounce and he’s one of the few superstars who also hits the glass and brings it defensively as well.
#8 Devin Ree Devin Ree 6'7" | SF Oak Hill Academy | 2022 State VA | 6’7” SF | Oak Hill Academy
Ree is another big time transfer to Oak Hill this season coming from Tennessee, and the LSU commit has had a stellar season and shown his versatility all year. He can play and guard multiple positions and does so consistently and often, he can score it from all three levels both on or off the basketball and he can impact the game across the board and stuff the stat sheet.
#9 Christian Reeves Christian Reeves 7'0" | C Oak Hill Academy | 2022 State VA | 7’0” C | Oak Hill Academy
Reeves is one of the most improved players in the country going from a handful of mid major offers to getting an offer and committing to Duke since he transferred to Oak Hill. The 7 footer is a big body in the paint with soft touch around the rim, he can rebound and block shots with his size and he continues to improve his mobility and ability to stretch the floor as well.
#12 Elijah Gray Elijah Gray 6'8" | PF Hargrave | 2022 State VA | 6’8” PF | Hargrave
While we don’t rank newly transferred post graduate players, Gray is a true senior playing on the Hargrave post grad team and throughout the year he has shown that he’s a very versatile player who can do a little bit of everything on the floor. At 6’8” he’s strong and bouncy around the rim allowing him to score in the paint, but he’s also a guy who can stretch the floor off the catch consistently, he can put it on the deck and get to spots and score it and he can make plays for others as well.
#17 Jaden Daughtry Jaden Daughtry 6'6" | PF Benedictine | 2022 State VA | 6’6” PF | Benedictine
Daughtry came out of the rankings for a brief moment when he decided to transfer to Arizona Compass, but he came back and has helped Benedictine to a very good season and is playing the best basketball of his life too. The 6’6” forward is one of the most versatile scorers as he can put it on the deck and get to the rim and finish through contact, he has improved in his consistency from behind the arc off the catch and he rebounds and plays with a good motor as well.
#31 Ethan DeLaurier Ethan DeLaurier 6'8" | PF Miller | 2022 State VA | 6’8” PF | Miller School
DeLaurier is new to these rankings because for some reason I didn’t know he reclassified and went to the 2022 class a few years ago, and he’s taken off as one of the most improved players in the state and even earned an offer to Navy where he committed to. The 6’8” forward is a high motor guy who runs the floor hard and can finish at and above the rim in transition, he can defend the paint and block shots and rebounds well and he’s developed into a very good shooter off the catch from deep.
#32 Cam’Ron Kearney Cam’Ron Kearney 6'5" | SF Salem (VB) | 2022 State VA | 6’5” WF | Salem (VB)
Kearney left the rankings when he briefly transferred to Moravian Prep in NC before coming back to Salem to finish his senior season, and the 6’5” wing is one of the most talented and best available wings in the area. He has good size at his position and is an explosive athlete around the rim, he’s versatile as he can play on the ball and create for himself and he can knock down shots from deep off the catch and he has big time upside on the defensive end.
