Amari Allen Amari Allen 6'7" | SG IMG Academy | 2025 State #53 Nation FL – 2025 – SF – Kaukauna
Gonna be saying it a lot, Allen is the real deal. The freshman wing took over the second half en route to a game-high 32 points and nine rebounds. You don’t see many prospects this young have such a complete game. Allen is going to draw some comparisons to Jalen Johnson with his size, body type, versatility, vision, and overall feel for the game. Johnson was more of a point forward, but Allen is a superior shooter at this age. Both were capable of flirting with triple-doubles on any given night. Allen has that killer instinct. Nicest kid off the floor. On the hardwood, he wants to take your head off and responded to some hecklers in the crowd with a monster second half. A high-level scorer, Allen moves and changes direction in the open floor extremely well for his size (6-6). He’s also unexpectedly fundamentally sound with his footwork and showcased some serious moves in the post, including reverse pivots, which you barely see out of seniors.
Colton Blank – 2023 – SG – Fond Du Lac
Liked the way Blank shot the ball on Saturday. Chipping in with 13 points, Blank knocked down four triples in the loss. Blank did a really nice job of spacing the floor and making the defense move without the basketball. When the shot wasn’t there, he’d swing to a teammate and ensure the ball didn’t stick. Part of the reason why Fondy has such good spacing and ball movement, Blank isn’t limited to staying on one side of the floor each possession.
Jamariea Dalton Jamariea Dalton 6'3" | SG Fond Du Lac | 2023 State WI – 2023 – SG – Fond Du Lac
Think it says a lot about Dalton that he was able to score 26 points in the rematch. Against Kaukauna earlier in the season, Dalton dropped 50, so you knew the Ghosts were going to gear up to stop him. Dalton scored seven of the first nine points for Fondy and often put them on his back in stretches. While he’s more scoring-minded, think Dalton is improving as a facilitator. He’s a downhill, attacking guard, but is surrounded by shooters, which gives him the ability to drive, collapse the defense, and kick it out. Dalton found a lot of teammates in rhythm on Saturday and they rewarded him by knocking down shots. Dalton can break down defenses off the dribble and is improving as an outside shooter. A long, bouncy athlete, Dalton might not look the part, but he’s got some explosive leaping ability at the rim as well.
Christopher Morgan Christopher Morgan 6'1" | PG Kaukauna | 2022 State WI – 2022 – PG – Kaukauna
Morgan put on a show with 32 points and eight assists. Probably should have had 10-plus dimes, but Kaukauna missed some chip shots around the rim or got fouled. He ended up getting to the line 16 times, cashing in on 13 of those attempts. For most of the game, Fondy just didn’t have an answer. A quick lead guard who’s got the ball on a string, Morgan can get wherever he wants on the floor and knife his way through tight gaps. You have to give Morgan a step or two defensively and when he’s able to knock down jumpers from all areas of the floor like he did Saturday, there’s not a whole lot many defenders can do. Near the end of the game, Morgan did a fantastic job of handling pressure and making sure his team got an easy layup or got to the foul line to secure the win. IPFW is getting a terrific leader here as well. A guy that has the respect of his teammates, Morgan calls the shots on the floor, gets his guys organized, offers up encouragement, and provides tough love when appropriate.
Tyson Waldrop Tyson Waldrop 6'5" | SF Kaukauna | 2022 State WI – 2022 – F – Kaukauna
Lost in the explosive performances of Allen and Morgan, Waldrop had a double-double with 17 points and 19 rebounds. A bouncy, high-motor forward, Waldrop is always ready to catch and finish in traffic. He always seems to have a very positive impact as an x-factor, hitting the offensive glass and seeking out putbacks. Waldrop absolutely owned the defensive glass as well, helping limit the Cardinals to just a few offensive rebounds. The adage is to “be a star in your role.” Waldrop certainly embodies that.
