The senior guard is a major piece for Coach Hettel’s team. He’s an excellent rebounder and will need to control the pace for another team looking to get back to the title game and handle unfinished business.
Andrew Camacho Andrew Camacho 6'1" | CG Peoria | 2023 State AZ Peoria (Featured image)
A crafty guard has been the leader for the Panthers all year and he will look to lead them far in the playoffs. Despite being face guarded a lot of times his IQ and shooting touch enables him to still get close to 30 every game.
Jaylen Wesley Jaylen Wesley 6'4" | PF McClintock | 2022 State AZ McClintock
Wesley is easily one of if not the best rebounder in the AIA. He has a excellent nose for the ball which also helps him to pick his spots on offense. If his offense is going well, Tock has the potential to make a deep run.
Rowan McKenzie Rowan McKenzie 6'2" | PG Boulder Creek | 2024 State AZ Boulder Creek
A young guard is the catalyst for BC as they head into the playoffs. One of the best shooters in his class and a good passer also. I love how he uses his body against defenders.
Pike Tancil Pike Tancil 6'2" | PG Willow Canyon | 2022 State AZ Willow Canyon
A do it all guard leads the way for Willow Canyon heading into the playoffs. He has his hands in a lot that they do. As he goes so goes their offense.
Oakland Fort Oakland Fort 5'9" | PG Sunnyslope | 2022 State AZ Sunnyslope
The point guard is the captain that steers the ship for the defending state champion Vikings. He’s an extension of the coach on the floor and outside shooting opens it up for his teammates.
Cody Williams Cody Williams 6'8" | SF Perry | 2023 State #25 Nation AZ Perry
A long point forward runs the show for the Pumas. His length and court awareness are elite. He can slash using either hand and has range on his jumper. As long as his offense doesn’t suffer from being out of position Perry should make a deep run.
Ahamed Mohamed Ahamed Mohamed 6'0" | PG Apollo | 2022 State AZ Apollo
A quick guard will need to maintain his scoring pace for Apollo to make a deep run in the playoffs. Mohamed also might be the best on ball defender in the state.
