Mon., Feb. 7th…Great Valley at Phoenixville: A rare, late season non-conference matchup features two squads that are having solid league seasons. Both of these rosters are stacked with college prospects. Great Valley (15-4; 7-1) is paced by freshman phenom Cameron Wallace and senior Connor Gal. Wallace can get buckets at all three levels and is averaging 24 ppg. Gal is a fantastic scoring guard who owns a lethal jumper. Phoenixville’s (8-8; 6-2 in PAC) Zavier Mayo Zavier Mayo 6'4" | CG Phoenixville | 2022 State PA (15 ppg.) is a PAC Player of the Year candidate. 6’6”, double-double machine Gabe Massenburg Gabe Massenburg 6'6" | PF Phoenixville | 2022 State PA (11.7 ppg.) is attracting attention from numerous college programs.
Tue., Feb. 8th…George School vs. Westtown School: The final contest of the Friends School League regular season schedule will decide who gets the No. 1 seed for the league playoffs. For the George School (5-1 in FSL action), highly recruited power forward Onyekachi Nzeh Onyekachi Nzeh 6'9" | PF George School | 2023 State PA has recently posted games of 35 points and 26 points. Nzeh will get a great deal of help from scoring point guard Christian Bliss (4/5 DI offers) and shooting guard Dante Weise Dante Weise 6'1" | PG George School | 2023 State PA . Westtown (7-0 in FSL action) has been riding the red-hot duo of Duke commit Dereck Lively II Dereck Lively II 7'1" | C Westtown School | 2022 State #3 Nation PA and combo guard Quin Berger Quin Berger 6'2" | CG Westtown School | 2022 State PA (2022). Lively recently posted a double-double of 30 points and 25 rebounds. A tremendous January has made Berger the fastest rising 2022 prospect in the state. Elite point guard Jameel Brown Jameel Brown 6'4" | SG Westtown School | 2022 State #180 Nation PA (Penn State commit) and sophomore phenom Seyphon Triplett (Holds several DI offers.) our two other ‘Town players to watch.
Tue., Feb. 8th…Haverford at Lower Merion: This Central League game will pit first place Lower Merion (18-2; 14-1) against third place Haverford (15-4; 11-3). Penn State commit Demetrius Lilley Demetrius Lilley 6'8" | PF Lower Merion | 2022 State PA (6’9”; Center) has been an interior beast for Lower Merion all season. Lilley can also sprinkle in a couple of threes per game. After missing seven games because of an ankle injury, LM’s wicked scoring guard Sam Brown Sam Brown 6'3" | CG Lower Merion | 2023 State PA (three DI offers) has returned and looks as good as ever. Haverford’s smooth shooting backcourt duo of Nick Colucci Nick Colucci 6'2" | CG Haverford | 2022 State PA (13 ppg.) and Alex Seidman will lead the Fords upset bid. Both players knock home triples at a high percentage. Keep an eye on Haverford shooting guard JR Newman, who is an under the radar 2022 prospect.
Tue., Feb. 8th…West Catholic at Imhotep Charter: This contest was added to the schedule over the weekend and hoop heads should rejoice. West Catholic (10-1 in PCL action) is the first-place team in the Philly Catholic League and Imhotep (Philly Public League) is one of the best squads in the state. West Catholic features elite, 6’5” wing Zion Stanford Zion Stanford 6'5" | SF West Catholic | 2023 State PA (13.9 ppg.), junior scoring guard Shemar Wilbanks-Acqui and point guard Adam “Budd” Clark (11 ppg. & 5 apg.). Clark is one of the quickest point men in Pennsylvania. As you know by now, Imhotep’s roster is bursting with major DI college prospects. Justin Edwards Justin Edwards 6'6" | PF Imhotep Charter | 2023 State #3 Nation PA (No. 1 ranked 2023 in PA; numerous DI offers), Rahmir Barno Rahmir Barno 5'10" | CG Imhotep Charter | 2023 State #223 Nation PA (No. 2 ranked 2023 in PA), Ahmad Nowell Ahmad Nowell 6'0" | PG Imhotep Charter | 2024 State #36 Nation PA (No. 2 ranked 2024 in PA) and Ronny Raphael Ronny Raphael 5'11" | PG Imhotep Charter | 2022 State PA (Committed to Gannon) provide outstanding guard play. While Mo Abdullah Mo Abdullah 6'4" | SF Imhotep Charter | 2022 State PA (Committed to Rider) provides a versatile interior presence.
Fri., Feb 11th…West Catholic at Archbishop Wood: There is no letup in West Catholic’s schedule. After taking on nationally ranked Imhotep, WC faces a deep and talented Archbishop Wood squad (8-1 in PCL). Wood’s fast paced offense is pushed by impressive combo guard Justin Moore Justin Moore 6'1" | CG Archbishop Wood | 2022 State PA (16 ppg.; Drexel commit). Class of 2024 prospect Jalil Bethea Jalil Bethea 6'4" | SG Archbishop Wood | 2024 State #5 Nation PA (6’3”; 12.6 ppg.) is turning in a tremendous sophomore campaign. Bethea can score at all 3 levels but is especially deadly from especially from behind the arc. Junior power forward Carson Howard Carson Howard 6'7" | PF Archbishop Wood | 2023 State PA (9 pts & 8 rebs per game) is a solid prospect who scores at will in the paint and owns an extremely effective mid-range jumper.
