Andrew Rohde Andrew Rohde 6'6" | SG Brookfield Central | 2022 State WI — Brookfield Central — SG
After struggling early (thanks in most part to the extra attention Neenah was giving him), Rohde heated up and kept Brookfield Central within striking distance. The Brookfield Central shooting guard is a tough shot maker, and it is only a matter of time until his shots start to fall. In the 63-57 loss, the St. Thomas commit recorded 29 points on 10-23 shooting from the field.
Grant Martin Grant Martin 6'0" | CG Menomonee Falls | 2022 State WI — Menomonee Falls — SG
If Menomonee Falls is to make a run at snatching this year’s gold ball, Martin is going to have to play his best basketball. And on Saturday, he was at or near his best. The 6-0 combo guard tallied an important 13 points in Falls’ blowout win over Kimberly. Martin is a speedy prospect that has an ability to score effectively at all three levels. If any college programs are still looking for a guard to fill out their recruiting class, I would suggest that they look no further than Martin.
Seth Trimble Seth Trimble 6'3" | PG Menomonee Falls | 2022 State #50 Nation WI — Menomonee Falls — PG
Trimble is a phenomenal prospect, and if things pan out for him at the college level, I think we could be talking about one of the best prospects to ever come out of Wisconsin. He’s that good. On Saturday, all of Trimble’s skills were on display. He tallied 32 points on 12 made field goals, including three three-point makes. He had two impressive dunks and many other athletic layups. As long as Trimble is suiting up for Falls, I believe that the Phoenix are capable of beating any team in the state.
Steven Clay Steven Clay 6'5" | SG Menomonee Falls | 2022 State #193 Nation WI — Menomonee Falls — SF
Clay is somewhat of an X-Factor for Menomonee Falls. If he is playing well and his shot is falling, it is hard for me to see any team knocking off Falls. But if he isn’t on his a-game, MF suddenly becomes very beatable. On Saturday, Clay played tremendous. He scored 26 points on 11 made shots. The 6-foot-5 small forward is an athletic prospect who has become one of the most dangerous slashers in the state. Still undecided about his college basketball future, Clay has the potential to become a great player at the next level.
Chevalier Emery Jr Chevalier Emery Jr 6'1" | PG Neenah | 2022 State WI . — Neenah — PG
A lot of Neenah’s success this season can be attributed to how well Emery has played. The 6-foot point guard is a phenomenal defender and talented shot-maker. He has made a lot of improvements on both ends of the court and his improvements could result in Neenah winning it all this March. On Saturday, I thought Emery did a great job of getting his own shots, but also making sure his teammates got plenty of looks.
Jack Daugherty Jack Daugherty 6'8" | PF Brookfield Central | 2024 State #311 Nation WI — Brookfield Central — SF
When Rohde couldn’t find the bottom of the net, Daugherty was there to lift his squad up. The small forward scored 14 points for Cental on 5-9 shooting. Standing at 6-foot-7, Daugherty has good positional size and the skill to match. He is a smooth shooter who is a legit threat from beyond the arc. He also is able to use his length and strength to finish tough layups amongst other tall players. Keep an eye on Daugherty, as he is one of the top 2024 prospects in the state.
Jackson Paveletzke Jackson Paveletzke 6'1" | CG Kimberly | 2022 State WI — Kimberly — PG
Paveletzke is such a potent offensive prospect. The Kimberly point guard is a true three level scorer who doesn’t miss very many open shots. In the losing effort to Menomonee Falls on Saturday, Paveletzke scored 27 points and made some really tough shots. The Wofford commit is so talented as a scorer that when he catches fire, Kimberly immediately becomes a formidable team.
