<p>With the Sheyenne Mustangs beating the West Fargo Packers 71-66, its time to discuss some of the top performances from the showdown. This rivalry is as sweet as it gets in the state of North Dakota, and with the talented crop both these teams have, this game did not disappoint. </p>
<p>Sheyenne Mustangs </p>

<p>Leading the Sheyenne Mustangs to a big rivalry win was senior guard [player_tooltip player_id="1133064" first="Kaleb" last="Larson"]. Whether it was hitting a shot from deep, rebounding the ball, or hustling on defense, Larson was locked in all game long. </p>

<p>As one of the best players in the Eastern Dakota Conference, it comes as no surprise that [player_tooltip player_id="1046354" first="Michael" last="Nhial"] was a contributing factor in Sheyenne’s win. The senior standout can score either in the paint for from deep and rebound the ball with tenacity, both things he showed against the Packers. </p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="812234" first="Trent" last="Freih"] - 9pts/7-9 FT</p>
<p>Coming off of the bench to help provide a spark for Sheyenne was senior guard [player_tooltip player_id="812234" first="Trent" last="Freih"]. The Mustang was an efficient 78% from the charity stripe and gave the Orange and Blue valuable minutes as the sixth man. </p>
<p>West Fargo Packers</p>
<p>Foday Sheriff - 17pts/7rebs/5-6 FT</p>
<p>As the sixth man for the West Fargo Packers, senior Foday Sheriff had himself a game against the rival Mustangs. The guard scored the ball well, was almost perfect from the line, and contributed on the boards. With more games like this from Foday, the Packers will be a dangerous group going into March. </p>

<p>As a top player in the Eastern Dakota conference, senior guard [player_tooltip player_id="812219" first="Carson" last="Hegerle"] showed up to play on Friday night. The Packer scored the ball well having eight points in both halves of action, was perfect from the free throw line, and was active on the defensive end.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="812231" first="Brett" last="Limke"] - 14pts/3 3PM</p>
<p>If you’ve watched the Packers play at all this year, then you know that senior guard [player_tooltip player_id="812231" first="Brett" last="Limke"] is as important of a player as they get. The Packer leader showed up from beyond the arc and played with hustle on the defensive end. You always know what you are getting from Limke, and thats not a bad thing at all. </p>

<p>This season, senior forward [player_tooltip player_id="1161460" first="Nick" last="Carlson"] has been one of the most improved players in the Eastern Dakota Conference. Against the Mustangs he showed why as he put up a solid contribution on the scoreboard, and dominated on the boards finishing with 15! This kid has taken great strides since the beginning of the year, and it’ll be fun to see him get an opportunity in March. </p>
