I bounced over to Boca Raton to watch North Broward Prep take on St. Andrew’s. The game would go to overtime with the Eagles prevailing, 49-41. Most of the action occurred in the second half. I thought both teams struggled early and it resulted in a 17-12 halftime score. North Broward Prep is now 22-0. The Scots fell to 16-4.

Brooklyn Vick - St. Andrew’s

2025 Brooklyn Vick hit a double clutch 3-pointer to send the game into overtime with 4.1 seconds left. The 5-foot-11 point guard scored all of his 17 points in the second half. I thought his jumper was really working over the final two quarters. Vick has a nice handle for his current fame. Moreover, he has quickness to attack the basket. Vick came into the game averaging 12.5 points, 3.5 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game. This is a kid to watch in the future.

[player_tooltip player_id="1065431" first="Michael" last="Kalina"] - North Broward Prep

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="1065431" first="Michael" last="Kalina"] played well in the second half for North Broward Prep. The 6-foot-1 point guard created a nice steal and fed 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="829406" first="Maximus" last="Fuentes"] for two points to put the Eagles up 38-34 in the fourth quarter. Overall, I thought it was a solid performance from him on defense. Offensively, I thought Kalina was aggressive attacking the rim in the second half. I think he plays very competitive and gives North Broward Prep an edge in pressure situations. Kalina came into the night averaging 11.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and four assists per game. Kalina finished with ten points in the victory.

[player_tooltip player_id="712115" first="Justin" last="Abson"] - North Broward Prep

You’re not going to find many better rim protectors than 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="712115" first="Justin" last="Abson"]. The Appalachian State commit controlled the glass and had at least four blocks. Any airspace and the basketball is likely getting rejected. Abson had at least nine rebounds and probably more. Essentially, he is a double-double with a handful of blocks. Offensively, Abson portrayed a nice jump hook and finished with a team-high 14 points. I thought he cleaned up on a couple of second chance opportunities that he otherwise should finish firsthand. Abson's size gave him an upper hand in these situations. He also showed some range with a 3-pointer after rejecting a shot on defense.

Dylan Rogers - St. Andrew’s

2022 Dylan Rogers is a prospect with nice size at 6-foot-8. I thought Rogers did a nice job using his frame to hit turnaround shots. He would finish with six points. Rogers came into the game averaging a team-best 15.7 points and 8.9 rebounds per game.

Andrew Sineway - St. Andrew’s

I thought St. Andrew’s was a few more outside shots away from maybe stealing this one. One perimeter shot they hit came from 2023 Andrew Sineway. The 6-foot-6 forward finished the game with nine points. Sineway came into the contest averaging 15.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

[player_tooltip player_id="829406" first="Maximus" last="Fuentes"] - North Broward Prep

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="829406" first="Maximus" last="Fuentes"] created a steal during the first play of the game using his length. The 6-foot-3 guard has a long wingspan to create turnovers on defense. I like his versatility on both ends given his length. Offensively, Fuentes would finish with nine points.
