Top Unsigned Senior Point Guards (Part 2/2)

<p>Check out my list of some of the best available and unsigned senior point guards from 2022! Look for them to get some late buzz as this season winds down, and maybe as they lead their teams towards a state title shot! </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="889583" first="Kemauri" last="Millender"] 2022 6’1 Clear Brook High School</p> <p>Kemauri is a sharpshooting point guard who thrives at scoring off the dribble. His lightning quick cross overs always seem to freeze his defender for just enough time for him to get a step on them and turn the corner to get downhill. His ability to draw the attention of the defense by his relentless pace and willingness to attack the basket really stood out. He is a reliable shooter from every spot on the floor, and is capable as acting as a spot up shooter or work on getting to his spots on his own. He has great awareness of finding his bigs for easy looks, especially operating off the pick and roll. Millender is one of the most impressive unsigned prospects I have seen at this stage in the game. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1149309" first="Jesse" last="Peart"] 2022 6’4 Champion High School</p> <p>Jesse was a standout point guard for his team because of his ability to score at all three levels, create for his teammates and lead his team. He got to his spots in the midrange and beyond the arc with a live dribble and confidently rose up over defenders and scored at a high clip. He is aggressive and loves getting downhill and forcing the defense to collapse. He is able to finish over strong defenders in the paint, or use his athleticism to get around them. His ability to fire cross court passes to his open teammates from any spot on the floor really stood out. </p> <p>https://youtu.be/SGcy3A46ltQ</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="901987" first="Aaron" last="Carter"] 2022 6’2 iSchool of Lewisville </p> <p>Aaron is a strong point guard who can play through contact, finish at the rim and knock down shots around the arc to space the floor. He is the perfect build of a point guard you want leading your program at the next level for his ability to do all of the little things right. His ability to knock down shots could allow him to play right away at the next level, as he is proven himself to be a reliable three point shooter from all areas on the court. He has a smooth shooting stroke with a high release that is very aesthetically pleasing, especially as it barely moves the net as it goes in. He is great at playing off the pick and roll and taking what the defense gives him, whether that is an open look beyond the arc, in the midrange or getting downhill to attack a late rotation. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="958616" first="Chendall" last="Weaver"] 2022 6’1 Mansfield Timberview High School </p> <p>Chendall is a supremely athletic point guard who can score with ease at all three levels. He is great at using his bounce to leap at the rim and finish over bigger defenders with skill. He is not afraid to go up and over a defender as well. He displayed an ability to score beyond the arc and in the midrange. He has a great balance between the midrange and attacking the rim. He thrives at playing on the fast break where he always seems to make the right decision whether it be make it the right pass ahead, attack the basket or pull up to punish them with an open look. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><a class="pn-player-link" href="https://prephoops.com/player/seth-jones/"><span class="name-pointer">[player_tooltip player_id="889587" first="Seth" last="Jones"]</span></a> 2022 Dickinson High School</p> <p>Seth is a freak athlete for the point guard position. He is great at using his quickness to get by defenders in the open court, and has a great handle to blow by defenders in the half court. He is a very patient player who is willing to play through his elite big men. I loved watching him dominate in the midrange, he was confident and wiling to take the shot after quickly turning the corner. It was fun watching his athleticism in warmups, you can tell he has springs attached to his feet. During the game he used it to sky for some athletic layups when he got downhill to attack the basket. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
