McLeod Steps Up
Robert McLeod Robert McLeod 5'8" | PG Cane Bay | 2022 State SC doesn’t stand very tall at all. McLeod came up with some big shots tonight in the victory over the host Warriors. Robert brings a fearless attitude and mindset and some ice in the veins at times. McLeod has the Cobras going in the right direction with its play. Robert always seemed to be in the middle of the action if that was a loose ball on the floor, picking up a steal or just getting the ball up the floor in transition.
Senior Leadership
Christian Smith Christian Smith 6'2" | SF Cane Bay | 2022 State SC , Xavier Adams Xavier Adams 6'2" | SG Cane Bay | 2022 State SC and C.J. Bennett-Shaffer C.J. Bennett-Shaffer 6'5" | SF Cane Bay | 2022 State SC along with McLeod provide leadership for the Cobras squad. Smith was able to make some timely buckets this evening. Adams and Bennett-Shaffer finished around the cup all night long. Bennett-Shaffer was able to do most of his damage on some shots around the cup and a few short jumpers and flushes at the rim.
Davinroy Does His Best
Calvin Davinroy Calvin Davinroy 6'3" | SF Oceanside Collegiate | 2023 State SC did the best he could do with his play tonight for the Warriors. Davinroy scored the ball from all 3 levels and just played the game with a lot of grit this evening. Calvin was able to finish at the rim with his left-hand, grab a loose ball off the glass, step-out and knockdown the 3-pointer he did it.
Chop House Student Section
The Wando HS Student Section gets into the game and for sure does provide a home court advantage. Kids come early, stay engaged, standup for the whole game and really get involved.
Moving Forward
The Cobras have a lead in the region at 4-1 with Goose Creek HS now. Cane Bay HS has 5 won straight and finish with Stratford, Goose Creek HS and Berkeley HS. The Cobras defeated Goose Creek HS earlier this month 54-45.
The Warriors fall to (9-10) on the season and should be in 3rd place when the playoffs come around.
