Scan the latest Top 10. Every team must play in 4A to be included. Losses to teams from outside Tennessee are noted, but largely ignored for ranking purposes.

ENTERED: Clarksville
DROPPED: Columbia Central

Many teams deserve recognition, though their resumes simply do not rise to the level of Top 10 across the land.

Columbia won their last four games. They belong in that Top 10, but who do you drop? Lebanon lost some sloppy games two weeks ago (Wilson Central, Ravenswood), but then they picked up wins over Green Hill and Goodpasture. Green Hill suffered losses only to Beech, Lebanon, and Father Ryan. Memphis Overton is saddled with more losses than both Green Hill and Lebanon, but they have the "best" losses of the trio. Overton fell to Memphis East, Briarcrest Christian

Science Hill always feels the forgotten member of our rankings. Though they missed again, they are 21-3 on the season with a remarkable head coach and [player_tooltip player_id="1332415" first="Kenyan" last="Cutlip"], a coach’s kid in charge on the hardwood. If they were not so geographically remote, then they would be getting more respect among their peers. The Toppers are for real and it will be fascinating to see them against other teams in the postseason.

Henry County is tricky. How can a team with just a single loss miss the Top 10? I don’t know.

Dobyns-Bennett spent three weeks in the Top 10 and they made a strong case to return after winning their last five games. Alas, just a single team was bumped this fortnight and [player_tooltip player_id="1201721" first="Jack" last="Browder"], Carter Getz, and friends will have to claw another week to get back in.

I don’t know how great Clarksville is. They are certainly good, with [player_tooltip player_id="1006439" first="J.J." last="Wheat"] leading the way. But, there schedule is simply softer than everybody else within the Top 10, save maybe Morristown East. Still, Clarksville was in the state tournament last March. They have lost only two games. They picked up wins over Clarksville Academy and West Creek. They make their second appearance in our rankings, but it is with a tad bit of hesitation that I include them.
