This article will talk about the 2022s from Cleveland who impressed at Flyin’ to the Hoop this past weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id="921773" first="CJ" last="Yarian"] (2022). F 6’10. St. Ignatius

[player_tooltip player_id="921773" first="CJ" last="Yarian"] is a very tall, long, and wide-framed stretch forward that can shoot it. Yarian has a very nice-looking shot that is almost impossible to block because of its very high release point. This also gives him the ability, and with his confidence, to shoot with someone right in his shorts pretty effectively. He is a big presence in the paint as well. I was impressed with his footwork with his post moves. His length also helps him with protecting the rim.

Daniel Young (2022). G 6’2. Shaker Heights

Daniel young is a high-level and volume scorer. He has 3 level scoring ability. He is a very confident player with a very pretty shot. He has good reason to feel that confident because he scores with ease and hits some tough shots. He has great range. Young just knows how to put the ball in the basket at a high rate. He averages 28 and finished with 26 against ISA Academy.

Sonny Johnson Jr (2022). PG 6’0. Garfield Heights

Johnsons is s Avery nice Point guard for the Bulldogs. He is very fast and quick with amazing change of pace and speed. He has an incredibly tight handle that makes him dangerous for defenders he has a pretty stroke and can hit some shots. He has good range that can knock it down.

[player_tooltip player_id="809600" first="Ramar" last="Pryor"] (2022). G 6’3. Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary

Pryor finished the Irish’s game against brush with a nice 20 points. He did most of his damage with his jump shot. Pryor is a pretty strong and athletic guard with a bigger build for his position. He has a great pull-up game and can shoot it off the dribble very well. He started to take control of the offense in the fourth quarter and ran it showing off the ability to play point guard as well.

Jon Effertz (2022). G 6’1. St. Ignatius

Jon Effertz has a pretty jumper. He hit multiple threes against Wheeler. He is a fast and quick scrappy guard. He plays more of an off-ball role ball role but he showed he can handle it very well. He does a great job of changing speeds to relieve pressure. Effertz has a very high IQ and is smart every time he gets in the lane.
