<p>We all love shooters. Everyone wants to believe their player is Steph Curry or Trae Young. This season we are blessed to have a plethora of high-profile snipers. This article however focuses on some of the state’s top shooters that many don’t know. You’re not going to see [player_tooltip player_id="986955" first="DJ" last="Thomas"], John Mobley, or [player_tooltip player_id="989243" first="Angelo" last="Kambala"] on this list. All three are well-known snipers that would be at the top of any Regional list of Snipers. In this article, we take a look at the top 10 underrated snipers. </p> <ol> <li>[player_tooltip player_id="1041556" first="Kaden" last="Castillero"] <em>6’0 PG Liberty 2024 (#26PHN 2024) (featured image)</em> - Makes big shots in big games against top competition. His 3 point shooting ability is crucial to the Championship hopes of one of the top teams in the state. </li> <li>[player_tooltip player_id="985614" first="Isaiah" last="Dahl"] <em>6’3 Elko 2022 (#29PHN 2022)</em> - Dahl is effective both in catch and shoot action and coming off screens. He’s already knocked down 30 trey’s this year for a 12 win squad. </li> <li>[player_tooltip player_id="986798" first="Alijah" last="Adem"] <em>6’1 PG Spring Valley 2024</em> <em>(#7PHN 2024)</em> - Here’s a great stat. [player_tooltip player_id="986798" first="Alijah" last="Adem"] is leading the state in made threes with 52, yet has attempted 77 fewer three-pointers than the player leading in attempts. He is shooting 68% from behind the line. </li> <li>[player_tooltip player_id="800977" first="Isaiah" last="Belch"] <em>6’3 SG Foothill 2022 (#42PHN 2022)</em> - Foothill has several sharpshoots, but I don’t want to forget Belch. The senior is shooting nearly 40% from behind the line on 29 makes. </li> <li>[player_tooltip player_id="1048706" first="Phoenix" last="Wortham"] <em>6’1 SG Green Valley 2022 (#75PHN 2022) </em> - Wortham is a sniper with in the gym range. He is second in the state in made threes, with 51 on the season. </li> <li>[player_tooltip player_id="1321364" first="Tommy" last="Williams"] <em>6’0 PG Incline 2025</em> - Williams plays for Incline, so he doesn’t receive the same exposure as some other players. He’s forcing people to pay attention with his shooting. The freshmen sniper has 10 games of 3 made threes or more. </li> <li>[player_tooltip player_id="1020436" first="Graydon" last="Lemke"] <em>6’7 PF Faith Lutheran 2024 (#15PHN 2024)</em> - Lemke is one of the state’s top stretch fours. The sophomore forward has been both accurate and efficient, knocking down 44% from behind the arc. </li> <li>[player_tooltip player_id="1367184" first="TJ" last="Coulter"] <em>5’8 PG Reed 2024</em> - The sophomore sniper has used his shooting to put his name on the map. Coulter has a quick release and has used it effectively shooting 55% from behind the arc. </li> <li>[player_tooltip player_id="986969" first="Jordon" last="Cosby"] <em>5’9 PG Spring Valley 2024 (#19PHN 2024)</em> - Cosby is part of a trio of sharpshooters for the Grizzlies. He is one of the most accurate sharpshooters in the state, knocking down 3’s at a 56% clip. </li> <li>[player_tooltip player_id="1345683" first="Zach" last="Pompa"]<em> 6’0 Shadow Ridge 2022</em> - Pompa has a strap, and he knows how to use it.
