The various types of athleticism we have seen over the last few weeks has been absolutely been awesome. A lot of speed, size, strength, movement, and overall Basketball I.Q. are just a few basics of what we were able to witness first hand. Every position on the Basketball court is different and they need to have a certain skill set to be successful. Here are some of the most athletic players we saw the last few weeks while watching games live.

Tyler Loretto #5 - Walatowa Cougars - G/SF/PF

Of all the athletes we saw the last few weeks Tyler was easily one of the most aggressive and fiercest players we had witnessed. Tyler reminds me of a matador bull and a point forward like a Scottie Pippen when he pushes the ball up and down the court. Extremely fast when going up and down the court with great strength as well as vision to make correct plays. He probably prefers to finish when driving so hard but he can also find open teammates. Tyler is also a do it all player meaning he can make shots inside the paint, make midrange jumpers or pull up outside for threes when needed. He can do both with great accuracy. When I spoke to him he said his mentality is to never give up.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076704" first="Kevin" last="Enriquez"] #13 - Monte Del Sol - SG/SF

Kevin is a catch and shoot type of player but can also do some other things on the Basketball court. When I saw him play he put over 20 points and had three, three pointers. When I spoke to him he said that he loves to find and expose matchups when he is on offense. He also told me that he enjoys running a lot of pick and roll plays to the hoop or away from it. Either works for him and he says he provides motivation for his teammates. Kevin who is 6’2, 192 lbs, could work very well as a sharpshooter for some sort of program in the future.

Max Mkpa #23 - Menaul Panthers - SF/PF - 6’8 175 lbs

Max, at 6'8, has some insane potential as he is working hard on gaining confidence in the game of Basketball. When I spoke to him and met him, I was highly impressed. Max is focused on being a defensive stopper, and a force when is comes to shutting down the other team's best player. Max clearly stated to me that he has a passion for defense which made me very happy. I replied by telling him how important it is to have a defensive player that can stop the other team's best weapons. I am confident that his confidence will certainly rise and he is willing to take on full defensive responsibilities. Max will hustle for loose balls and even dive for them if he has to. A intriguing and unique prospect in my opinion.

Brennen Tosa #11 - Walatowa Cougars - PF

Brennen's physical strength allows him to play great defense inside the paint. A strong player who can change games quietly by making subtle but important plays. Brennen said he prefers to play 2-3 zone and that he is more optimal in zone defense. He was able to stay calm and hit 2 three pointers in his game last week. When I spoke to him, Brennen says he likes playing in the post as well. He likes spin moves in the post as well as trying to draw fouls on the other team. I think the strength along with the ability to make some game changing plays all over can help make a difference for a program.
