New year same season and Florida teams are still kicking. This week was my first back in the gym and there were some gems. I’ll take you through some standouts from my week of games.

[player_tooltip player_id="709255" first="Sean" last="Stewart"]: Defense

At the showdown in O town, Stewart was a defensive force. Any time Trinity Prep entered the paint they had to deal with the 6’8 Duke commit flying in for one of his 5 blocks. His frame and explosive leaping helped him clear boards. He struggled to score in the first half, but transition play and high post shot-making rounded his performance in the second half. Watch out for Stewart’s passing the combo forward threw some pretty no looks to teammates for hockey assists.

[player_tooltip player_id="1167935" first="Elijah" last="Elliott"]: Shooting

Oak Ridge’s slew of underclassmen always performs at a high level. Elliot’s hot shooting helped him stand out from the crowd on Saturday. He hit four threes throughout the game coming off screens and the catch. The sophomore showed off his pull-up that turned into an and1 opportunity. We’re looking at a 6’3 shot maker with a bright future.

[player_tooltip player_id="956830" first="Jayden" last="Williams"]: Recruiting Cycle Steal

Williams is strong, a next level shooter, and possibly the jewel of Dartmouth’s 2022 recruiting haul. He’ll give them a two-way player that can cover multiple positions and shoot the ball at a high clip. If teams run him off the line, he has the athleticism to finish at the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id="1065452" first="Jerry" last="Addo Boateng"]: Athlete

Ado-Boateng is an unsigned senior that will immediately add raw athleticism to your roster. His speed makes him an effective slasher. His bounce makes him a threat at the rim as a rebounder and above the rim finisher. He’s got a motor that resulted in blowing up several fastbreak opportunities. At 6’3 he has the size to operate either backcourt spot and his athleticism will make up any height he doesn’t have.

[player_tooltip player_id="1055792" first="Chris" last="Moliere"]: The Underclassmen

I’ll always reserve a spot for someone I believe has stock-raising talent. Jesuit [player_tooltip player_id="1055792" first="Chris" last="Moliere"] fits the bill this week. He’s a guy that runs point during the summer and is an off guard for his high school team. His build, physicality, and ability to get to the rim make him a good guard prospect. He’s gaining needed on and off ball skills that will only expand his skill set. Moliere is showing effective scoring and playmaking abilities, finishing half his games with either double digit points or 3+ assist.
