The latest rankings for the 2022 class came out today and we want to take a look at some prospects that are already off the board but still found a way to climb in our latest rankings. Each college will be happy to hear that their committed prospects are thriving during their senior seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id="809612" first="Tom" last="House"], 6’5 SF Centerville 2022: House and Centerville are the team to beat in Ohio and started off the 2021-22 season hot. House provides great shooting from the wing position and will walk into Florida State with the confidence to compete right away. House and company are looking to walk away with a second straight state title and are playing well enough to make that happen.

[player_tooltip player_id="921764" first="Ben" last="Southerland"], 6’7 PF Sycamore 2022: Southerland and his Sycamore Aves took their first loss of the season last night, but that doesn’t take away from what’s been a great season for the versatile forward. Southerland can do a lot of things on the court and is more of a primary creator for Sycamore than what you’d see for Midwest Basketball Club. Southerland is scoring 16.9 PPG, but his efficiency is what’s so impressive, 54% from the field and 44% from 3-point range. Liberty has grabbed some solid prospects from Ohio recently and Southerland adds to that list.

[player_tooltip player_id="809619" first="Antwone" last="Woolfolk"], 6’8 C Brush 2022: Woolfolk has been a force for a Brush squad that’s only dropped one game this season. With the body of a taller tight end, Woolfolk is a match-up nightmare for opposing schools without much size. Woolfolk will primarily be a defensive and rebounding big for Rutgers as he’s displayed both of those skills in key victories for Brush thus far this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="809602" first="Jacob" last="Conner"], 6’7 PF Kettering Alter 2022: Conner has maybe been the biggest stock riser of any committed Division I prospect this winter. Conner is looking much more aggressive and shooting the ball at a higher clip than I’ve ever seen him. He led his team to a huge victory over Homestead (IN) to open the season and their only loss to an in-state foe is against rival Fairmont. Conner is scoring 18.3 PPG and shooting over 60% from the floor and 40% from 3-point range. Marshall fans should be thrilled that Conner is playing the best basketball of his career right now.

[player_tooltip player_id="921747" first="Brandon" last="McLaughlin"], 6’8 C Heath 2022: McLaughlin is another prospect playing the best basketball of his career this season. McLaughlin has developed a consistent left hand and has been aggressive around the basket in both games I’ve seen this season. Heath returned a solid core of 2022 prospects, but McLaughlin is the leader of the team and playing like it. Malone has grabbed some under the radar prospects like Bo Myers and turned them in studs, McLaughlin could be next in line.

[player_tooltip player_id="921771" first="Max" last="Roth"], 6’1 PG Findlay 2022: Roth has been dominating the competition this season in NW Ohio and establishing himself as one of the top players in the ultra-competitive TRAC. Roth is an explosive athlete off two feet and is playing above the rim whenever possible. Roth is also scoring the ball at a high rate this season, something he wasn’t always forced to do with the Ohio Buckets this summer. Findlay kept the local product close to home and Roth appears like the type of prospect that could potentially play early for the Division II powerhouse.
