Players to Watch:
Michael Cooper – Forest Hill
Cooper is a high-flying guard that I’ve mentioned in the past. The 6-foot-1 senior is averaging 16.8 points per game while shooting 54 percent from the field. I would hedge my bets on Cooper being one of the more athletic players in the field.
Christian Reid Christian Reid 6'5" | SF Mater Lakes | 2024 State FL – Mater Lakes Academy
Reid is another prospect I’ve mentioned in the past (this is a good field). The 6-foot-4 guard/forward has the size and athleticism to play multiple positions. Reid has bounce and power to the tin.
Tyvon Thomas Tyvon Thomas 6'0" | PG Elite Academy | 2022 State FL – Elite Academy
2022 Tyvon Thomas Tyvon Thomas 6'0" | PG Elite Academy | 2022 State FL has a lot of talent. The 6-foot guard is averaging 19.7 points per game for the 10-0 Eagles. He could have a big few days.
Jordan Glass – Fort Lauderdale
Do not leave 2022 Jordan Glass open. The 6-foot guard is averaging 11.7 points per game while shooting 28-of-68 (41 percent) from three. Glass has knocked down three or more 3-pointers in six games. Against South Broward, he scored 19 points while shooting 6-of-12 from beyond the arc.
Malachi Hyppolite – South Miami
Hyppolite should be one of the top scorers of the tournament. The 6-foot guard is averaging 19.7 points and 3.8 rebounds per game while shooting 53 percent from the floor. Against Miami Country Day, Hyppolite had 21 points and knocked down three 3-pointers. This could be a nice showcase for him.
Daniel Jordan – Cardinal Gibbons
2022 Daniel Jordan might very well be the heart and soul of the Chiefs. The 5-foot-8 guards plays with a ton of passion on both ends of the floor. Jordan has a strong handle and enough athleticism to get to the rim. In addition, he is a scrappy defender that will pressure you right over the halfcourt line. Jordan is the type of player you want when things get tight.
