<p>Prep Hoops took in the action today out at Carvers Bay HS in the Choppee Community of Georgetown County. The South Carolina Class A Showdown consist of 14 teams throughout the Palmetto State. The coverage from the event will be extensive all week long along with more stops this week around the Palmetto State.</p>

<p><em><strong>Hemingway defeats Pee Dee Academy 43-28 (Pee Dee Academy last minute replacement for CA Johnson)</strong></em></p>
<p>The Tigers jumped to a 11-0 lead before the Eagles would finally score. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1353925" first="Tyreek" last="Brown"]</strong> paced the Tigers with 12 points in the win. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="976897" first="Cameron" last="Weston"]</strong> scored 12 points while <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1278636" first="Hudson" last="Spivey"]</strong> added 11 points in loss for the Eagles. </p>

Teammates <strong>Damarion Wideman</strong> scored 12 points after connecting on 4 three pointers. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1074155" first="Camden" last="Durant"]</strong> and <strong>Neko Wideman</strong> finished with 11 and 10 points respectively for the Chiefs. </p>

<p>This game at times looked like a football game broke out on the hardwood. Several fouls all night long. The Saints prevailed and held off the Red Devils after leading 32-9 at the halftime break. The Red Devils got back to a 10-point deficit with just over 1 minute left in the game at 49-39.<strong> Kamoree Watson</strong> led the Saints with 13 points while <strong>Russell Brunson Jr.</strong> finished with 7 points. </p>
